yes, deciding tool is the very first step for collective work... it should be easy to use, preferably free, google docs kinda style, Podio look good though (need to consider size of team, it might expand or shrink anytime), we collect edit, final result can also be sent as PDF file so one can print out/distribute to media magazines(coindesk, etc.)

as you can see in the statistics, after the campaign on 8 January 2014 were created 3times more accounts than before.
It was 400 new accounts with trades per day, after the campaign - 1400, 1200 and 1000 new accounts with Nxt transfers per day.

We have just witnessed the most successful days of Nxt adoption

I support  salsacz as his efforts recently has been very effective and as far as I remember he did not get paid at all for these works. So if bybitcoin, klee other other donors want to support a media campaign, you should seriously consider salsacz to lead these efforts.

As for psybits, we welcome you to help NXT. You should contact salsacz to collaborate. It is fine if you want to work on your own campaign but you would have to show how effective you are first.

I would expect individual donor support would become less less as NXT grows. Fortunately we have a good sized community fund that can be used for many activities, but all of these would generally have to go through a collective decision making process. Ultimately, I would think funding would go to a person who show they can volunteer and go some extra miles to help NXT.

well, your press release in December was published 8x (or google)  , there can be more news, but even gogle cannot find them... while my attempt was published 23x, probably at more sites, but google showed me these 23

But it isn't about the number of articles, after last weeks campaign we discussed the web statistics from the nxtcrypto so the next time we will know who to contact and which website is only a waste of time..

There are being some texts prepared for the Bitcoinmagazine and other big websites, we will let you know the details after they will be approved.

We are building swarm groups, they will be used for reddit voting, but also for comments at important Magazines or newspapers and for getting Facebook and Twitter likes.

We will focus on getting to the all kinds of medias, use social contacts to get to the celebrities (like Winklevoss twins)...

Now we are preparing the texts/illustrations to get the attention of media by showing them the green Nxt, in oposite of Bitcoin who is only wasting the computing power..

+ there will be more infographics, videos, VIRAL videos... you know the drill

It would be wonderful if Bybitcoin could support the PR campaign that I could lead (with others), so we could also pay something to the authors of new articles, chinese translators etc... That's why I wrote him a few times in last days about my wish to work on:

As I can do it fulltime... I am working on the scientific paper about Nxtmyths, Nxtmyths infographics and all will be combined to the Nxtmyths video, but since I spend here 16 hours/day, 7 days/week, it is better to do something else too

I will get an introduction. Perhaps throw a bottle of red wine in and make him do the initial setup for our project.

I put that 100K again for pushing the media coverage: I can give you 50K at first for a month for covering Nxt news in some places, among which there should be at least one important place (zerohedge or wallstreet or coindesk).
If the community get satisfied with your first month performance, then I give you the second 50K for continuing the news coverage until the end of March (again one or two more important media to cover about Nxt).
If you are agreed please post your complete plan for a month and a Nxt account id.

Centralized newsletter will be one important part of the decentralized Nxt. There are some blogs and some news sites, there will be magazines for everyone, for girls, for mobile fans... Sometimes an article in the news site/blog will be published first and then it will be in the newsletter. Other day will be some text sent from the newsletter first and then some users will post it on their sites, blogs... I really like this decentralized idea

I think salsacz should definitely be in the team. I will ask several others to see if they are interested. We could have up to 5-6 editors and as many contributors as possible.

Could you investigate how evernote works for a team ? We could keep it rolling.

IMO newsletter should be sent out to the mailing list but also be available as blog/mag.

These links are great and should be in the newsletter too. But no, I'm not thinking of just distributing these. It could probably be okay with a newsfeed-compilation for the most dedicated in the community, but my idea is to make NXT and the progress of development understandable to "outsiders" too, as we want new adopters, we want to keep investors orientated, and the mainstream media too. They should have something to quote. Yes, writing will have to be done.

Exactly my thoughts. If NXT is to be divided into other categories like NXTmessage, NXTExchange and so on for promotional purposes later we can follow. Main thing for now is to get the info organized.

@apenzl I think what you have in mind is more like a news-feed. I think we could go bigger and make it a bit more in depth magazine style. News feed will be included. But for news-feed only, we already have parallel threads here which act like a news-feed hubs.

So in case you want to stick you a news-feed newsletter only, you can collect update information from these parallel threads. We will try to keep it as updated as possible.

We could follow similar template as the peercoin's newsletter https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ppc-peercoin-newsletter-6-cnbc-coverage-new-merchants-dev-update-369239, but do it in a more decentralized fashion. That is having many writings by contributors in a magazine style.

The newsletter could be divided into different sections such as : full clients update, new projects, promotional events, merchant adoptions, interviews etc. and we could have each section covered by a contributor.

There should be some editors whose English are fluent because we want the newsletter looking good.

So the organization could be as follow:

Editors: 1-3 people, tasked with proofreading submission, selection of submission, contacting with contributors to request contents
Contributors: 5-6 depending on the level of interest; tasked with writing what they follow and interest and what might be requested by editors.

Following this type organization, we can move from a simple newsletter to full-scale magazine easily when the time comes.

Finance: We should seek financial support from donors at the beginning. Eventually we could have funds from advertisement etc.
Contributors and editors are expected to do volunteer work in the beginning. Other compensations could be discussed later, but I think we need to emphasize on volunteer efforts here. You can't expect to earn anything much at this state or maybe even in the future. So volunteers are welcome, paid mercenary please go away.
