Can we move the BTC from the linked adress already or should we wait until the distribution happened. As far as I understood it the balance in the adress at a certain block counts, but I rather be sure and ask.  Smiley

I would like to know the same thing. My bitcoin is kinda tied up in one place now and I would like to get back to trading Smiley

Better wait until Tony distributes the coins (because of bitcoin reorgs).

Ok, thanks. I'll wait then. Is distribution happening today?

Hi, I don't have this folder in Application Support

If you have run byteball on this mac you should have it.

Try this in terminal:

Code:
zip -r ~/Desktop/byteball.zip ~/Library/Application\ Support/byteball

This should put byteball.zip (which would be your backup) on your desktop.

Thanks mvag! This is very helpful for all mac users.

Anyone took note of the rate at the time of the snapshot? (Or was it mentioned somewhere here and I missed it?). The bot keeps updating the rate/balances so it's not indicative of what to expect when the distribution occurs.

I also would like to know if the snapshot already happened. There is nothing mentioned on the homepage yet.

After update to 1.0 I got new address.

How about the distribution? My BTC is linked to the byte ball address in version 0.7

How is this possible?

Resolved. I think everything is okay. In the wallet you can find all adresses.

is the bitcoin snapshot done? It is suppose to be December 25th at 00:00:00? What block is in the bitcoin blockchain? What is the final linked bitcoin?

Yes it's done. It was on Block #444951

Cool, waiting on distribution then.

Anyone knows where is the data folder for byteball on mac that I need to backup?

For macOS, you need to backup this dir:
~/Library/Application Support/byteball

Backup the whole dir, from the github:
Byteball uses a single extended private key for all wallets, BIP44 is used for wallet address derivation. There is a BIP39 mnemonic for backing up the wallet key, but it is not enough. Private payments and co-signers of multisig wallets are stored only in the app's data directory, which you have to back up manually.

Maybe you can't see it because it's hidden! Anyone with a mac who can help here?

Yes, to day is the big day for the distribution of the Byteball tokens. The team have done quite well with their platform

@tonych why did you delete your own post (a few hours ago) about waiting for hours to avoid a reorg of the blockchain?
