Volume still low but highest at the moment:
https://coinlib.io/coin/GBYTE/Byteball

As expected, volume was highest when GBYTE crossed $1000 early this year and there was lot of excitement surrounding it. It is natural that trading activity picks up when there is a rapid increase in price.

Let's play every crypto is a sea animal:
Bitcoin is the shark
Ethereum is the dolphin
Monero is the octopus
Byteball is the plastic bag found at the bottom of the Mariana Trench
Your turn!

Ha ha. I wouldn't be that harsh. Byteball is not that unwanted. There is still a loyal community waiting for the tide to turn.

Steem Use-a-Thon update

There are currently seven participants who have entered the competition to develop use cases using the Byteball platform. See the weekly update, which also contains links to some blog posts from several of the entrants:

https://steemit.com/byteball/@byteball.org/steem-use-a-thon-by-byteball-weekly-update-1

Examples of some entries:

  • An idea that would enable easy and convenient outsourcing of tasks and subsequent rewarding of contributors by use of Byteball Smart Contracts. This would enable trust between two unknown or sometimes anonymous parties on GitHub/GitLab.

Bytes-Steem exchange service reducing much of the hassle for users when exchanging between the two assets.

Reminder - it's not too late to enter! See the original announcement for details on how to do so. The current prize fund stands at 22 Gigabytes (it has increased since the original announcement).

Considering that i can't use bittrex as they require verification, what is the best exchange where i can buy gbyte?

You can use cryptox.pl. It's been a long time since I used it but it was pretty dependable back in the days, it probably still is (no complains as far as I know). The only issue is that the volume is relatively low.

Cryptox has worked well for me as well. Quick and reliable.

A friend of mine recently used Cryptox to purchase some GBYTEs and he confirmed with me that the exchange is functioning properly. Alternatively, @Cent21 could try use Upbit or Cryptopia according to the data that Coinmarketcap has. Upbit in on the 2nd place regarding the trading volume of GBYTE but Cryptopia also has a decent volume but the spread between the buy order and sell order are quite big.

Let's play every crypto is a sea animal:
Bitcoin is the shark
Ethereum is the dolphin
Monero is the octopus
Byteball is the plastic bag found at the bottom of the Mariana Trench
Your turn!
This is quite fascinating and somehow made me laugh on a very busy day.  Grin Unfortunately, I'll have to pass on your challenge as I'm not good at it. LOL

I just read some articles about Atomic Swaps (BTC / LTC / XMR). Is it basically possible to realize atomic swaps between DAG and classic blockchain? Would the realization be a worthwhile goal?

How many points i can crunch with a AMD Ryzen 7 2700X (8 core, 16 threads, 4350 mhz) in 24 hours?
I have on 20. september two computers with this processor and i support the byteball team for the THOR CHALLENGE Smiley

The Thor Challenge is about runtime, so it doesn't matter how powerful your cpu is. So it's better to get your old computer from the basement and let it crunch too!  Cheesy

Hard to say. There is not a calculator or a formula available as far as I know. Your hardware equipment is pretty good. Best way to find out is to run a full day with your machine.

That is one of the biggest industries and is on expansion day by day where use case of GByte is very strong. If online gaming industry's fraction is captured that alone is sufficient. This morning I was looking at price and came to know about the article covering online gaming and smart contracts it is huge if implements right way. I do agree it is real use case for GByte.
yes, it's a huge industry. but the major participants of online games work without cryptocurrency. and while they start using this technology will take a long time.
