Tony is waiting for a token to continue with the wcg payouts:

rewards are not working now because of GDPR https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/help/viewTopic.do?shortName=api#834  I contacted them and wait for a token
(from slack)

As far as I do understand, every participant has to provide its token to let the particular data access by the API. Probably the bot has to be extended that every campaign participate has to provide the token when it signs up, similar to the payment address.
Just a quick question: any updates regarding the WCG server issue? Seems like your coin is not the only one having that problem with WCG after the GDPR deadline. Strangely enough other BOINC projects don't seem to be that hard on their data request policies.

My wallet corrupted because of my mistake and I found I only have a backup of ~/.config/byteball before the last airdrop, and therefore the last airdrop(Nov 2017) of blackbytes could not be recovered. Anybody knows is there a way to recover it? Thank you.

I can still open the old sqlite database. Are there any tables I can merge into the backup in order to recover the blackbytes?

Normally, your balances should update once you have recovered from your backup. There is a possibility that your address did simply not receive the blackbytes, this has happened in the past. Verify that your Byteball address was indeed linked (to a Bitcoin address) before the distribution, and if so, contact Tony, he is the only one who can resend the blackbytes.

Another bot added to the Bot Store:

Private chat room bot

This chatbot allows several persons to chat together using the Byteball messaging system. The bot decrypts messages and relays them to other users after reencryption. For best privacy, run your own instance of this bot using the source code below, any cheap VPS is enough to host it.

- Nicebyte - the token that was recently spammed to our wallets and is apparently not backed even by promises.  Nonetheless, it offers a good way to play with the exchanger.

To play for what, just for fan? I can't keep wasting my time with Nicebyte  and lose my bytes.  Such kind of  shitty tokens  can only do us a harm.

Can I ask you one thing?

You can ask more than one thing Smiley.

I have seeded to back up my wallet but can not back up.
How can I recover my wallet?

I'm having trouble understanding the matter. Are you unable to find where to enter the seed in your wallet for recovery?

It would be really great help from your side if you can spend 60 seconds of your time and give us your valuable feedback for our two recent updates 1) Snapshot and 2) Colourful interface of BYTEBALL at: https://cointopper.com/coin/byteball

Constructive criticisms are always welcome at CoinTopper.  Thank you!!

Byteball is a unique coin, I expect the price could be like last year that reached almost $ 1000, and now is the right time to buy GBYTE.

A new bot in the bot store:

Exchange bot for dual-chain tokens

For tokens issued both on Byteball and Ethereum platforms, the bot enables seamless exchange between Byteball and Ethereum tokens.

It was developed by HDRProtocol team, partial source code is at https://github.com/HDRProtocol/exchanger

The bot currently supports two tokens:
- TitanCoin
- Nicebyte - the token that was recently spammed to our wallets and is apparently not backed even by promises.  Nonetheless, it offers a good way to play with the exchanger.

The developers think that bot might be useful for dual-chain ICOs as the Ethereum-based token will be easier to list on exchanges.  It might work or not, but we'll keep the possibility open.

can it be decentralized?

It's an exchanger bot which means it doesn't have a centralization issue since it only exchanges your tokens at fair market price. Whatever the price in all major exchanges that's the price the bot will exchange your tokens.

Alcibiades Agnes, there is a better solution I think:

Why not let the user decide how to verify:
- By inputting a code sent to email on the chatbot (actual).
- By sending an email with a code within, code generated by chatbot (usb workaround). Could be possible?

Yes that would be a possibility.
Another possibility is to send the confirmation link to the that chat bot itself.
Then the student can autosend himself an email with the confirmation link copied from chat bot and open it for confirmation. I sorry my lack of programing knowledge, would that work?
Would the confirmation mechanism recognize that confirmation link is open from the intended email ?

Venezuela, Byteball is you!
