A new DAG project has arrived, it seems that they handle the consensus problem with PoW (IOTA use coordinator and Byteball witnesses)

Quote
DERO-Atlantis few features:

    Block time of ~3 seconds.
    ~500 TPS(Transactions Per Second).
    No orphan blocks.
Faster settlements and confirmation times of less than 60 seconds. Change spending will be allowed after ~60 seconds.
Optional Extremely light weight, mobile and offline wallets.
New Dero address specifications to allocate wallets to everyone. Wallets will be lightweight, private, secure, with support of shadow addresses(infinite). Family-members, Cars, IOTs etc. can have shadow addresses. Shadow addresses are linked to primary wallet and can be used independently just like primary wallet. Example: Refrigerator can have shadow address for independent transactions and records.
Primary address can view/control shadow address balances etc. but not vice-versa.
Native blockchain without any lightning networks, validators or off-blockchain solutions.

DERO-DAG(Directed Acyclic Graph): DERO Atlantis will be DERO-DAG based. DERO-DAG is mineable, POW based, fully linear with same level of security as blockchain.
No orphans, scalability limits defined by resources(Compute, Network, Storage etc.)

Client Protocol: It handles same transactions mined by two different miners in different blocks mostly due to luck/Network lag.

Bulletproofs: Smaller transaction sizes for CryptoNote Protocol.

Ultra Compact Blocks: Faster block propagation times and low network usage.

Core progress on track.
Explorer, wallets too are being re-written to handle Atlantis.

In another 15 days Atlantis will be released for alpha-tests and Hopefully before next monthly update we would be on Atlantis.

All paid signature campaigns should be banned.
Luckybytes is no longer working for me.  Anyone know what is going on?

I know I've been a vocal critic of byteball recently, most particularly in light of the changes to distribution methods. Which I still disagree with btw.

I strongly feel it was a mistake to end the airdrops.. The distribution needs to end not drag on.

(And the problematic fact that all the witnesses are still centralised).

However I stand by this coin despite those misgivings and I still believe the intention is to decentralise it. Also I am a fan the features being implemented.

So with all that off my chest, its an interesting time for Byteball from a Technical Analysis perspective, so I thought I'd share my chart.

Byteball is bouncing strongly from the bottom of a rising channel but also close to reaching the top of a bearish channel which puts it in a wedge. Which way will it follow? There appears to be a lot of uncertainty.

The steep drop in February corresponds to when airdrops to byteball holders were cancelled (penalising byteball holders), which came at an infuriating time when I expected byteball to break up from that bearish channel.

The prior rise may have been due to decisions to postpone airdrops thereby temporarily reducing the inflation of new coins circulating.

In fact I think its fair to assume a lot of the volatility is caused by decisions made by the dev about the undistributed coins. Again highlighting why the coins need to be distributed ASAP

The general downtrend is explained I think by the simple fact that so many newly distributed coins have been entering circulation, ie there has been extreme high inflation of supply.

I guess it is a balancing act for the dev who perhaps understands that slowing down the supply of new distributed coins helps price to stay more buoyant , but it comes with the cost that it brings a lot of uncertainty and also brings accusations of not being decentralised.

At the moment I am slightly optimistic Byteball can follow that bullish channel and break up from the bearish channel. I thnk the sell off when airdrops were cancelled was not as big as I thought it would be which seems to show a lot of belief in this coin. Lets make good things happen.

nice chart for bulls... hope will play nice and byteball will be back in top 50.

How many more weeks for the signature campaign?
I guess two more weeks, Big Naturals.
As yahoo62278 said in bounty topic, the Byteball signature campaign will last for one more months. After that day, the campaign has lasted two more weeks, including the current one. That means it will last for only two more weeks if tonych won't decide to expand it a bit more weeks.
What you are telling is incorrect. The date Yahoo said that it will go on for one more month, after that 4 paying cycles have already ended. And 4 paying cycles = 1month.

So it should end by now if what yahoo said was followed, but I don't think even yahoo knows if this campaign will continue or not. Wait for Tony's message to yahoo that will make things further clear.

Yes, Byteball is not so far from the top 100. If the distribution is going well like the previous one (regular and following the rule!), I can beg the Byteball can reach top 50 in one month.
It is time for you to reverse your stance on Byteball project, xlcus.
Congratulations, because it seems that you chose the right time to do it.
Byteball will take off soon when Bitcoin rise exponetially and the whole market fly over the Moon.

Ok, thanks bro!
You are welcome. I have followed the campaign over the last three weeks and hope that tonych will decide expanding it a bit, both period of campaign and more participants.
By the way, the Byteball project is likely a good one, which also invaded deeper into real-life activities, for example in Venezuela.

Hey bro.,

For a long period of time, you have keep spreading pessimistic threads on the future of Byteball project.
Then for now, you came and said that you have collected lots of Bytebal in your wallet.
My small recommedations for you is if you are really investor and supporter of the project, please stop spread such boring threads which might have negative impacts on the price of Byteball.
I guess you did it as efforts to buy as cheapes Byteball as possible, lol.
How many Gbyte do they hold? I can bet most of them have far less Gbyte in their wallet than me.

Top 50 is reachable target, and in our hands, mate.

But, hi, guys, top 5 is only a dream. Let's talk about some realistic target: when will we come back to the top 100?
Top 100 really doesn't look that far. At the rate we are coming back it is just a matter of couple of days that you'll be seeing it on the first page.

What is up with bytebal and Venezuela? Can someone give me some official link relating to the matter?

There is a contest organized by an university.

This is a perfect storm for BYTEBALL to shine in Venezuela.
Maduro is president again.

BYTEBALL let's take over venezuela finance ... they print a currency with no value, BYTEBALL has value and it is limited.

Its a good idea to target people living in countries where the 'native' currency is going down the toilet. Dash already doing similar https://www.dashforcenews.com/dash-domination-venezuela/

This proposal is quite good. China is a huge cryptocurrency market. Extending this market will help bytebll's rapid development.

What are you guys smoking, are you seriously suggesting doing a distribution round based on ethnicity and nationality, that is fucking nuts!

Doing an airdrop on Chinese new year to promote byteball to crypto brothers and sisters in China is a great idea, but ffs, include everyone!

How would a distro to Americans only go down, or white South Africans, would get some headlines, but not good ones.

Leave racially based distributions well alone, crypto is about global inclusion.

I think the idea is great. Maybe not an airdrop (or a really really small one for everyone), but a huge (chinese) marketing campaign to this special moon festival.

i have 2 tx of around 80 gigabb lost in limbo

What are the circumstances of these losses? What does the DAG explorer say about the transactions? Can you provide the sending and receiving addresses of those transactions?
of cource i can....fuck this shit...i have sended from YHDUFGB5TRXTGCHTBCFEJ7YVAP5AKXBR to FPNWUYTGPJ3FGPE4MSSXLAKV27XY4JEU
You don't get angry at the people who are trying to help you. Yes you are frustrated your tx didn't go through but come on getting angry doesn't help the cause at all. Glad it worked out for you, but watch your attitude bud.
dude...i love this coin more than you can imagine...but it still has some issues..mot a long time ago i had another problem trying to sell some blackbytes...the error was not enough indivisble bla bla...it still has a long way to go..a great concept nevertheless
