Hey, I'd like to sell 2,5 GBB. Actually I wanted to held them but I need ETH, so I'd sell them if anyone is interested. PM please

Using an exchange is probably your fastest and safest way.  Or a converter like shapeshift or changelly.

Good idea, if blackbytes would be on exchanges  Cheesy

How about a bot capable of exchanging Bytes and Blackbytes for Fiat? How this works can be seen in BISQ (https://bisq.network).

Defo more options for blackbytes needed. Monero has done very well due to its anonymity features. Blackbytes could do well also given more options for people to trade. From what i see we dont yet have byteballs anywhere but bittrex and couple other small exchanges.
I agree.

Changing from Blackbytes to Fiat is only possible with P2P.
However, it would now be urgently necessary to offer such a possibility.
Another important step would be the approach to a decentralized marketplace like "Open Bazaar". It should be able to pay directly with Blackbytes.

Demand for Moneros (and thus the market value) increased as some Darknet markets decided to accept Moneros as a means of payment.

How to trade Blackbytes to FIAT? Is it technically feasible?
Surely this would be possible, even if some people here constantly claim that this is not possible.

BISQ shows how it works. Only some modifications for blackbytes are needed.

Edit:
@ innergy
As soon as this currency has a utility value, it is also in demand (see DASH and Monero).
Keywords:
- Open Bazaar
- Changing Bytes/Blackbytes directly to €uro, USD, .... (P2P, see BISQ)

You know China closed the exchanges and the P2P between crypto coins and FIAT is demanded.

The only way to do is by trading blackbytes to bytes and then bytes to bitcoin and then to fiat. There are couple of trading bots available for trading blackbytes to bytes.

So.. how this "lets-make-the-rich-bastards-richer" coin is going?
Let me be clear - I won't buy something that others get for free.. in case if you're wondering why the volume on exchanges is so low Wink

I want to change Blackbytes against €uros. The detour via Bytes is far too costly.
What costs? The transaction fees are minimal. The exchange rate is not really a cost its the ratio or price of blackbytes and would be the same on euro exchanges.
I can't expect my customers to change their €uros to Bitcoin first, then to Bytes and Bytes to Blackbytes.

Please focus a little more on reality.  Wink

Sorry i actually don't know what you are trying to do. But if you have customers and they want blackbytes for euros, why dont you just sell them blackbytes for euroes? You could buy them for bytes/bitcoins, not to much trouble, is it?

But sure i agree whould be cool to have blackbytes/bytes on an euro exchange. but this will definitifly not happen with blackbytes because of its private asset nature.
There are indeed traders who want to sell normal goods.  Wink
I would like to sell them against Blackbytes, but of course my customers have to be able to buy them themselves with as little energy as possible.

Blackbytes should allow easy automatic pairing via a P2P trading platform, similar to BISQ.
So it would be possible to exchange blackbytes for €uro, USD... directly.

blackbytes are too unwieldy to use. i like the idea but the manual pairing thing and backup needed every time isn't practical. it needs to be smoother to use.

If you use a multidevice wallet, your wallet data are replicated on 2 or more devices. So you always have a backup up-to-date as long as you didn't lose all your devices.

Question: When selling Byteballs (that I got from airdrops) using the chatbot aren't the corresponding bitcoins received very anonymous? If this is the case that actually adds some more value to byteballs since the airdropps can be used as mixers in a sense. Am I totally wrong here? I'm obv not asking this since I'm looking to do bad stuff I'm asking since I see added anonymous value in the process.

yes. also you do not need to pair up with your trading partner anymore. Only one connection (to freebe for example) is necessary. Although some people might find add that the exchange now knows several peers who are exchanging blackbytes.
But it should also be added that the exchange does not have much information (not even your IP adress or anything). Although blackbytes can not be tracked ones they left the own wallet.

Automatic pairing during the payment process via a decentralized trading platform such as Open Bazaar should be absolutely feasible.

The blackbyte exchange with the greatest volume is freebe. You can instandly sell and buy blackbytes there. Selling blackbytes is risk free (trustless) because of the used conditional payment.

Best Bid: 0.0266 (100 GBB)
Total GBB wanted: 7144
Total GBB for sell: 970

All paid signature campaigns should be banned.
OK, so a Segwit address is what a Nano is? And I would need to put my BTC back on my computer to participate in the airdrop. That is a great shame, as I really dont want to do that (or incur the high fees moving it there and back just for some free currency.)

I guess GBYTE has lost a supporter with this move and I will be selling my GBYTE holdings (not that I personally will make one jot of difference to the project overall) but I think it's pretty shortsighted of the developer of this coin to not support this other form of BTC address in the links. I was advised to move my holdings to a Nano because it was safer...

Hi, I realise that the next distribution is not planned until November but I have recently moved my BTC to a Nano S and was looking to relink my ByteBall wallet to this new address.
When I chatted to the transition bot and told it my new address I got an error:

"Only P2PKH addresses are supported".

I am new to this, and am not technically gifted. I did a quick google search but didnt really understand what it all meant.
Can anyone explain what I need to do and if it is possible to still link my wallets to participate in the next airdrop.

Thanks again for your help.

You cannot use segwit addresses as at this time it is not possible to sign messages with segwit addresses. Legacy btc addresses only.

It is not the developer of Byteball. The new segwit btc addresses are not compatible with signing messages at this time. It has nothing to do with Byteball. It has to do with btc segwit protocol.

Oh, I see. My apologies for jumping to conclusions and thank you for your advice and putting me straight. Do you advise I move my funds then, or is this likely to be sorted out at some point soon?

tonych,

Please consider implementing the signature algorithm discussed here:

https://github.com/trezor/trezor-mcu/issues/169

and implemented on the Trezor wallet so that we can make a step forward on implementing a standard way to sign messages with SegWit addresses.

As far as I know this is the only implemented proposal so far.

1) Anyone who keeps their coins in a Trezor wallet would be able to sign messages with them for the ByteBall bot.

2) More SegWit compliant wallets can/will be asked to use/implement this algorithm

3) This will help in the adoption of this proposal as a standard.

Hey guys,

i am announcing my new project:

Luckybytes

It's an in app lottery in which you can play using your Byteball Bytes. There are three different game modes to participate in. Win large amounts of Bytes depending on the number of players on the principle of «the winner takes it all». All games are provably fair. Each lottey comes with a game and proof hash whichs let a player validate and prove the results against manipulation.

The catch is: you can play it in the byteball app or after login through the app: online on any device!

Please try it out and give me your feedback Smiley
