make sure to backup your wallet again! this is needed after every airdrop
backup need to be done every airdrop ?
i have some problems with my wallets one is perpetually stopped with a transaction
pending , and seems can't sync even changing node.

will try to resync anew with an old full backup , i had some blackbyte but having recovered the wallet
with the seed one time , the old accounting is disappeared , i hope to find an older backup before that unfortunately operation.

I received my bytes and blackbytes last night and when I tried linking another BTC wallet the bot just sleeps too. Doesn't sound like a bot.
If I get to receive 1 gbyte today, I will make it a mandatory for me to send my btc to my wallet first and link before cashing out.

Great, expecting the next version is 1.9  Smiley

New release 1.8.5 https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases

* Fixed issues that caused full wallets to crash at certain points while syncing
* Fixed an issue that sometimes caused light wallets to miss transactions
* Fixed file selection in Android 4.4 when restoring from full backup
* When receiving private assets (such as blackbytes), the wallet now automatically detects when the transaction is confirmed

Thanks a lot to community members who helped in finding and investigating the bugs.

I think in my 4 years of being in crypto, this is the fastest I've seen wallet code getting fixed/updated !

so.... that means.... you like the coin yes?... i.e. a peon like myself would be wise to participate in June?

Ofc Smiley definitely would highly recommend anyone that can to get involved in tony's lil pet project, this one's a gem Wink

I can't totally tell if there is a difference between buying bytes from the trade bot or from an exchange like bittrex.... I'm guessing that essentially the same thing? Thats a fantastic idea btw, seriously great idea.

And then on the full moon I can link my BTC account and can get more bytes?

I don't want to sound ungrateful because this project is amazing but when can we expect an infrastructure system and use cases for bytes and blackbytes?  The insurance p2p is a great start just wondering if there will be community development down the road (maybe when all bytes are distributed?)

.
Blackbytes showed up only on one device in 1-3 multisig wallet. Why is that?

Edit: After 4 hours showed up on another one, third one is still missing BB.

Make sure they are all updated to the latest version and can chat with each other.
If any of the devices runs a full wallet, it must be synced in order to see the funds.

They are all light, two android, one desktop, same version 1.8.4. Just tried to send all funds from multisig wallet to regular wallet on desktop. Bytes went ok, same balance on all 3 devices. For black bytes, only desktop shows correct balance, android signers show complete crap.

P.S. I am going to delete multisig wallet, create a new one and try to send some black bytes there.

Do they chat with each other?
. Do anybody else has this problem?
Your special problem I have not, but the strongly diverging synchronizing times I can confirm

2 of 3 multiple device (light) wallet
low budget smartphone (android 6.01)
Fire Tab Android (fire OS 5.3)
fast laptop (WIN 10)

At the distribution: Transition bot reported distribution (chat message via smartphone) and the GBB credit was immediately displayed on laptop.
~20 minutes later on Fire-Tab, ~30 minutes later on the smartphone. Display GB and GBB after syncronization both correct.

As a very rough rule I would say:
Synchronization and display on my laptop (SSD) very very fast (2 seconds).
Fire Tab sometimes slow (0.5-5 minutes), but that is o.k.
Samsung galaxy mini synchronization (sometimes) very slow (5-10 minutes).
I guess: The syncronization time depends heavily on the read / write performance of the devices?

Ok, I had a personal conversation with tonych and it turns out that my second transaction (the one which stalled) has a very large payload (over 10Kbytes) and androids were falling asleep before they could sync their wallets. As tonych suggested, I put sleep time at maximum (30 mins) and left byteball in foreground. After little less than 30 mins both devices went through sync and now show correct balance and transaction history (a tablet went through faster than a phone). However, I decided to stay away from using android wallet for time being, since such a slow sync time makes it not very convenient. Hope that syncing will be optimized in the future.

Is blackbyte distribution over? i received my bytes, but i never received my blackbytes, or i could never see them in my (updated) wallet.

i installed first in windows, then made full backup, then installed in android, loaded from backup, then tried to connect devices but never received a confirmation or an error feedback. When i try to remove device in windows wallet, i only see the byte-btc exchange and the transition bot, so maybe connection was not succesful.

Same for me Huh

..if I may add (I remember the subject)

Sent my transaction from my bitgo wallet and received this message from Transaction bot

I received 0.0015 BTC from 3QcomrVZo8T7XARRVYziJg3B8BqkzcZs2D but this transaction looks like it was sent from an exchange, which is not allowed. Please send BTC only from a wallet that you own private keys for. If you think it was a mistake, please contact [email protected]

why do they think its an exchange?

I already replied you by email:

See here https://blockchain.info/address/3QcomrVZo8T7XARRVYziJg3B8BqkzcZs2D, there are too many outputs that’s why we detect it as an exchange (transactions sent from regular wallet usually have 2 outputs).  Please use a wallet where you control the private keys.

My comment was NOT specific to Only exchanges.  There is also gambling sites.

I have one wallet registered that Specifically came from a gambling site (not the sites address).  It is a 2 output (1 to me, and 1 to the sites cold wallet).  I can find several that are 3 output.  I am not going to give information on the specific transactions for obvious reasons.  So, I guess this idea of registering addresses that don't belong to you can be dropped by me by not providing proof.  Smiley

However,

The quoted transaction was a 5 output transaction. So, let's just be clear what tonych said....
It was blocked for being too many outputs AND that typical transactions are 2 outputs.
He didn't say byteball requires it to be 2.
- This can be easily cleared up.

One exception to the 2-output rule would be a transaction from an Electrum wallet with 2fa enabled. In this case, there is a third output that consists of a known 2fa fee. If you know about addresses that have more than two outputs and are not transactions from a 2fa-enabled Electrum wallet, it would be nice to tell Tony so that he can see if something's wrong with the bot Wink.

Of course we are clear about what's the quoted example by kola-schaar is saying, it doesn't say that 2 is required. This was just an example of a case that happened after the bot started refusing exchanges' addresses because of multiple outputs. The main discussions about that refusal, happened before the first round (I'm not brave enough to go look for them in some of the first pages, if you are, you can try to dig them up Smiley).

How do I link my btc in my electrum wallet to byteballs? I have already installed the wallet. how do I do it?

Best thing to do is follow the directions on byteball.org
A new site (unofficial) provides more details on how to link --  http://bitviser.info/

There is also a number of videos on youtube on how to link your BTC.  Yes, even specifically for electrum wallets. Smiley
