Dear reader,

An IOTA-developer (Come-from-Beyond) is in this Byteball thread spreading FUD and misinformation. Petty. Disregard posts.

misinformation

1. You claimed that Byteball is more secure than Monero and ZeroCoin. This was refuted by Byteball developer.
2. You claimed that Byteball blockchain can be compressed by violating the Law of information preservation. Nuff said.
3. You claimed that PoW can't be used as anti-Sybil measure. You still failed to explain how Bitcoin works then.

So, who is spreading misinformation?

My mind boggles at the possibilities this BTC-oracle opens up:
https://github.com/byteball/btc-oracle
 Shocked Grin
What the fuck.  Shocked

Now a merchant-bot can accept payments in BTC, and a BTC-to-Bytes or Blackbytes exchange can be implemented, and everything the peers would agree to trust is a third-party run btc-oracle.

Its even possible to have a merchantbot accept payments in btc or bytes/blackbytes, and deliver "goods" when either of these payment options are received. The best part is the merchantbot doesnt have to run its own bitcoin-node, it can just listen to btc-oracle.

Is there a plan to have a ethereum-oracle?

Such oracles are an overkill. If we trust witnesses then we can trust data published by them. And no Merkle magic needed for that.

BB needs some serious exchange

Let's bring liquidity to internal exchange.

What internal exchange? You mean cryptox? How should we increase liquidity? Don't wanna sell my byteballs and I already bought as much as I could afford  Tongue

This exchange

byteball:[email protected]/bb#0000

Go ahead, make your offer.

go ahead and keep it up for new vista is mine aim.

question guys. i participated in the 2nd round and i got some byteballs and blackbytes from the airdrop. as i understood it, i didnt have to do anything more to be able to participate in the 3rd round? i still have not received any coins from march airdrop. did i miss something? thanks in advance

Please make sure that you updated to wallet version 1.5.1 and that you are fully synced!

thanks. i have the latest intaller on w10 now. but how do i backup the existing old wallet?

Go to c > users > *your computer name* > AppData > Local

Then copy/backup the whole byteball folder anywhere you want.

Do you know why third round of distribution coins are much more than second round? Is it because more people joint the distribution, right? And 4th round is coming soon, I can't wait.

Is this a LetsMakeLazyWhaleBastardsRicherCoin topic?

Seriously.. you should consider relaunch with a fair distribution - each linked btc address gets equal.
Otherwise this coin is DOA.. sorry.

too easy to cheat: nothing prevents me from linking one million btc addresses

You've got a point there, though personally signing a message a million times with the chat bot would be very difficult to do but its possible.  Grin

how do you handle large addresses using a wallet script to split to 1000 addresses then register all addresses. not sure you thought this through...

You have a weird definition of the word "fair".

You should create your own clone of byteball and try that distribution method and see how far you get.

Just think a little before making a statement. Every linked address gets equal? Anyone can have (and link) as many addresses as they want. They are free and easy to create in any quantity.
Even if you ask for non empty ones, you would need a minimum threshold of say 0.1 btc.
And even yet, the potential for exploit would be HUGE

I know the perfect thread to discuss this: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/iota-1216479
