If we already have a Byteball address with coins, do we have something to do in order to receive black bytes during next distribution round?
You need to move your bytes to your linked byteball address to receive blackbytes. Chat with transition bot to find your byteball linked address.

hey guys, i have byteballs in my wallet. when i ask the transition bot it tells me i need to link my bitcoin wallet. but i just want to have my byteball wallet linked. how do i do that

The only way is to link a bitcoin address to a byteball address (you need both). That is if you want to get blackbytes. It doesn't matter if your bitcoin address is empty.

Yes, it is very fun to get free Byteballs and make it into bitcoin, using bitcoin to earn bitcoin is the happiest thing to make bitcoin, yeah.

"There's really nothing to lose by taking part in the coming distribution rounds with whatever spare Bitcoin you happen to have on hand, and potentially a lot to gain."

Agreed

Hi, electrum newb here

My linked addresses are only showing a small % of total btc as I have spent btc since the last airdrop which are now in change addresses.
I heard its not a good idea to link change addresses, is this true? So what is the easiest, safest way to re-link all my btc for the next drop?

Thanks

What's wrong with linking change addresses? You can sign a message with them just the same, right?

Technically nothing. It's just that change addresses are supposedly used to make the job harder for people trying to find out what addresses you own, in the case someone is trying to track you.

If you don't mind showing that you own them, no problem, they are no different from other addresses.

Personally I don't even use them. If I wanted to make private transactions I would just use another crypto to do them

Simply send your complete balance to one of your already linked addresses.

If there is a quantum computer and algorithm which can break hashes then Iota is also affected, it is just using a homemade sponge function instead of secp256k1 elliptic curve used in Byteball and bitcoin.

Ofcourse the iota dev will lie and otherwise insinuate iota is somehow better at resisting quantum attacks just because he made it. Roll Eyes

All sponge functions are resistant to quantum computers if they satisfy to requirements in http://sponge.noekeon.org/CSF-0.1.pdf.
