Could you explain in detail why you do not think Byteball is not a crypto currency? All what I understood so far is that Byteball uses some centralized "mechanisms" to stabilize and/or secure the network. This will be stopped as soon as most coins are distributed and a critical amount of users use Byteball. Is this right so far? However the coin is still designed to be a crypto currency.

It is designed to be much more than mere "crypto currency".

... I see it as a far superior, more distributed and way more scalable version of Ripple.
I agree with you. Byteball is not a true cryptocurrency, but it has great potential.

Do you guys think it's possible to have a xmr / gbyte market at cryptox? Would really appreciate it! I think it would increase the volume. I'm sick of converting xmr to btc first and then buying byteballs

This might be a good idea. As for the possibility, you should contact grzem, the admin of cryptox about that, it will probably go faster if you contact him directly on Slack.

But since Ripple became corporate banks crap this is never going to happen even though, and I agree on that, this could simply replace the original idea behind ripple when it first started. Yes, this is way better than ripple but hopefully this will never get where Ripple is today. I would dump all of my bytes in the case. No space for corporate crap in my portfolio  Wink But I don't think this is the case

Let's see what will be in the future, so far byteball is superior to other cryptocoins which raised many BTC from ICO.

Well, I just bought 1BTC worth of Bytes for the long haul because although I don't believe the 'witness' thing is a good idea I see it as a far superior, more distributed and way more scalable version of Ripple. Hope I'm right.

How many rounds of distributions are left after the Febuary round?

until all bytes are distributed.

under the current rules – 1-2 years.

My addresses are linked, but I did not get blackbytes.
My Bitcoin address: 1Lxkcczzk1s83XoN9JR3MdmoTnCAzCy1FB, my Byteball address: UCH73SRSVZMKVPKN5XMMEARBGVK7KDSO.

There's a typo in your address, it should be Y instead of O at the end, but that's not the issue.

So yes, your addresses are linked and you got the corresponding amount of bytes.

Do you have the latest version? On Android it's still 1.2.0 but on other OS it's 1.3.0, you can get it here: https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases/tag/v1.3.0. Is your device synced?

I have v1.3.0, and the device is fully synchronized.

I had two other leads, but I think they might not be good:

- Do you have another wallet on your device? Having said that I assume you should've received bytes and blackbytes on the same wallet ...

- I also assume your unit of display for blackbytes is not GB. Having said that, 1.3.0 is supposed to display decimals when the unit is high ...

So (if the above is good), I think you should send a private message to tonych.

I did everything right ...
