so price back down to .05 after the 2nd round.
Marketcap has more than cut in half since the beginning of Feb. when it peaked just over 10MM

Wonder if the ICOs are going to sell any this round or not?
Total coins are 1 mill, right now people are valuing GBYTE at $50,000,000. The 5 mill on coinmarketcap only reflects the available supply. I don't like that the coins distributed will be an increasing percentage. Also, I don't think the dates are known. Seems like the coin will follow a down trend for now.. Just mho.

It's probable that value will go down until distribution is over, then we will see what is the true value of byteballs. I will just hold my bytes and blackbytes for a while and see what happens.

the same about me.

Distribution of bytes is complete, about 17,610 GB distributed, which is worth around $1m at the current price.

Distribution of blackbytes is still under way, it'll take much longer.

Thank you tonych. At this rate the BB won't be fully distributed for many months, maybe a few years. Are you considering increasing rates to speed things up?

I did not receive my Byteball coins. I sent 0.4BTC to the address the transaction bot told me to and it told me my payment was received. I logged into the app now and I still have 0 Bytes in my wallet?

You didn't have to send all your BTC to the bot omg. He was requested a small payment a few satoshis just to confirm that the address was yours. Ask tonych. If don't have access to the BTC address you did then the coin though, you just loose 0.4 BTC.

it was my first thought too.

but it seems that he mentioned not bot address but his linkin btc address.

He did shared a pic of his wallet :

https://i.imgur.com/4WbQm5t.png

So what did I do wrong here? The bot told me to send my btc to specific address for me to get converted to byteballs

instead of sending small amount to link ur btc↔bb u sent a lot more.

Is there anyway for me to get these coins back? I just followed the instructions the bot told me

Explain the picture please.
Did it go like this?:

The bot asked to send a small transaction to 1Q3ca is this correct?
Then it gave you a address 15jnM for linking the bitcoins?

If this is the case your coins are in a change address.
If you send everything to the first address you lost the coins.maybe the developer of the bot has the private key for sending them back.

If you send them to a change address tell me does jax wallet let you store the private keys yourself or is it a 3d party.
If it stores the keys on your phone than the jax wallet doesn't look at your previous address.

If this it the case you can do this:
HD wallets are in the most cases a standard BIP38 format.
This means you can import your 12 word seed in every wallet.
Try to import your seed again in your wallet.
It will scan all the private keys for every address generated from the seed.
If this isn't possible with jax or you fear you don't now how and  you will delete your current wallet.
Download a other wallet like mycelium or electrum and import your seed there.
It will import every connected address derived from that seed

vinnyfraser, you made a booboo. The bot only wants to prove you own the BTC address where your BTC stash is. This is done in two ways: One is to send a tiny payment to specified BTC address. The bot will then see the balance of the sending BTC address and then from there determine the amountof bytes you get.

What you did was you sent the whole amount, leaving the sending BTC address with no balance. Thereby, the bot sees you have no balance.

The other and more popular way was to sign messages with your BTC address.

Re: Jaxx

Jaxx is a Hierarchical Deterministic Wallet (a second gen BTC wallet) where sets of BTC addresses and accompanying private keys are determined from a seed phrase. So you don't have to record/know every address/private key pairs for each generated BTC address. The simpler wallets generate addresses independent from one another. Tho, you can know the private keys from an HD wallet.

So the entire balance of an HD wallet cannot be determined from block explorers. You must know all your addresses to determine the balance.

Note: simple wallets may send change to an address you own but not aware of. You need to extract all the addresses the wallet is using.

Sorry but you didn't. The bot did ask you to send a small and specific amount of BTC. Not all your stack.

As i said, you should contact tonych to see if you can get your btc back.

You probably didn't Smiley. The bot never told anyone who wanted to link to send all their BTC to a given address, it only asked for a micropyament. Anyway, you should contact tonych and explain what happened, I think he will gladly return your BTC.

It is like in the first round of Byteball distribution. Price dumped to under 0.01 BTC/GByte (guess the lowest price was around 0.0083 BTC). After the low there was a rallye up to 0.11 BTC within few weeks. Price doubled more than 10 times. I guess same holds here again and will hold all the next distribution rounds. But experience shows, the volatility decreases from round to round .

Anybody that expected people to hold their free byteballs was delusional.

There is always a wave of dumping after any free handout.. Price will correct, just wait a few days.
