Canada seems to be suffering from yet another batting collapse in the second ODI against Nepal. They were 94/0, and then 179/2 in 31 overs. Now they are at 227/7. Instead of 300-320 that was projected a few overs back, they will end up with a sub-par total of 240-250 at the most. And impressed with Nepal so far. I thought that the entire team would collapse due to the absence of Sandeep Lamichhane. But young bowlers such as Kushal Malla, Surya Tamang and Rohit Paudel have taken over the burden. Lalit Rajbanshi is also absent for this match, and he was one of the most experienced bowlers for Nepal.

The match swung wildly at different stages. Australia were initially ahead in the chase until 15-year old pacer Ali Raza removed Tom Straker and Mahli Beardman in the same over. They were 164/7 and then ended at 164/9. At this point, they needed another 16 runs to win, with Raf MacMillan and no.11 batsman Callum Vidler at crease. Vidler did a great job by saving his wicket, and MacMillan took over the scoring. Anyway, bad luck for Pakistan. Always happen to them during the knockout stages of major ICC tournaments.
Ubaid Shah was good with bowl through out this tournament but in semi final it was Ali Raza who dominated with the bowl by picking 4 wickets. Clearly there is nothing to discuss in Pakistan batting, Awais and Minhas are the lonely warrior in entire the batting lineup. That is not history, Pakistan Under 19 didn't play all that well in the Semi finals and therefore they were out of it. On the other hand, the Australia Under 19 team performed brilliantly and they deserved to be in the finals. The way the Australian team bowled and restricted Pakistan batsmen was remarkable. No other thoughts from my side on this.

On that day, Pakistan U19 team was unlucky because despite hundred attempts, the last wicket failed to fall. The ball that went EDGE to fine leg for four could have hit the wicket directly, which happened to Bangladesh in the previous match. Moreover, on the day of the second semi-final, nine wickets fell at regular intervals from one to nine of the Australia U19 team, but the last wicket ensured the final for Australia. I said they were a bit lucky because of the slow over rate they had to bring the fielder up in the circle as they were penalized, and Macmillian utilized that opportunity to hit the winning 4 to the boundary.
MacMilllan didn't utilize anything, it was pure luck, ball took an edge and went for a boundary, it was not intentional shot that you could say he utilized the field. When fine leg was brought up in the circle, commentator said, is it a good thing in this situation? Because with tailenders, fours usually go through fine leg or third man, yes they were penalized and were forced to bring one player inside but I'd say it was amateurish decision from Pakistan's side that they brought fine leg inside the circle.
You can say that too, it is just another way to put forward his intent to win.
I disagree and I repeat, It was accidental edge that's why it went for four at fine leg, how can you say he utilized the opportunity of Pakistan having no fielder at fine leg when MacMilllan had no intention to play there in first place? Without the edge, it was likely a dot ball or at most a single if it didn't went directly to fielder, certainly wouldn't have went for four as it appeared to be a soft handed hit.

The team of Canada plays no matter how much good but at the end of the day, the Nepal team won this match, and by the way, these matches are also played in Nepal, but in these matches, no one wants to come even their own country didn't want to become audience. He is a new Gleen Maxwell, Maxwell made 201 in 129 balls while he made 210 on 139 balls, and it is also like a Maxwell, by the way, he can make more runs because he was not out but the inning was finished, maybe we will see 250 by him in yesterday's match. Sometimes it crashes onto the timber and when the batter is lucky it goes to boundaries and the latter happened in the Semis so in that case libert is not wrong. It was just pure bad luck or blame Pak's slow over rate which resulted in an extra fielder inside the 30-yard circle.
