Today the match between South Africa U19 and Scotland U19 team was very enjoyable especially Scotland U19 team batted first and collected 269 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 50 overs. 269 was not a bad target at the moment but for the South Africa U19 team tomorrow it was a very insignificant target as the South African batsmen batted surprisingly in the innings especially the batsmen in the opening pair who ran so fast that they scored fifty in just 13 balls and Steve Stolk was dismissed for 86 off 37 balls. Another batsman Dewan Marais was able to play an impeccable innings of 80 runs off 50 balls. Yesterday South Africa U19 team completed the target of 273 runs in just 27 overs in T20 style and won by a big margin of 7 wickets.
There is no doubt this was one of the most entertaining game in group stage matches while South AfricaU19 which is also host of this event were on verge of exit and needs a huge task for staying into this event which they achieved brilliantly Scotland U19 which is also good team but sadly not able to win any match score good runs while they were batting and with the help of 90 runs from their opener Jamie Dunk 90 runs and wicket keeper captain Owen Gould's 97 which help them for posting 269 runs target which was looking good at the start.But, South Africa which was third in points table were looking for win with good NRR so they achieve this target in only 27 overs which is really impressive achievement from them with their Steve Stolk and David Teeger hits 80 and 86 runs with very good striker rate which bring them to the top of their group and now West Indies is having to go back home without having any good result for them.
