You guys need to temper your expectations frankly speaking because India usually performs really well in certain matches and underperform badly in critical matches(Eg: Recent WTC final against Australia).

They are number one across all formats which is insane indeed, but high rankings don't always translate to big tournament wins.

True! When you become a favorite for any big event, there is a possibility of being complacent or like Indian management says " 30 minutes of bad cricket" Don't want to hear these words again.

Let's hope no left arm fast bowler takes us by surprise, if it happens then we are practically 3 down in powerplay lol. In the last 5-6 years it happened in literally every crucial match and we never recovered.

Almost every team have the same problem. If the opening is good, automatically rest of the players will contribute the best. In the match between Australia and India, opening failed but the one down gave hands. This boosted the performance of the middle order and they were able to handle situation without much of pressure. We don't know how far will be the consistency in performance. Top teams on the list will have close competence in the World Cup matches. As said, real match between India and Pakistan hadn't taken place in the Asia Cup. During the World Cup this is going to be really interesting as the bowling unit of Pakistan is strong as India have already shattered the leading Australian bowling.

Every batsman of India team belongs to the top category. Some of them used to be in off-form in the last few matches. But Indian batting lineup has become strong again as the players are getting runs continuously. Shubman Gill is the top scorer of ODI cricket in this year. And the good thing is that Suryakumar Yadav is playing some good innings now. His form was very bad a few months ago. Indian batting lineup will be able to destroy any team if they can continue like this. Now India is the most favourite team for the upcoming ODI world cup.

I think this shows how well the next gen of India has improved. Once the older gen eventually retires, I think India is not going to have any problems throughout the transition period. And of course India did very well in the last match against Australia. I didn't expect that India is going to win the match so easily. But the performance that India actually put on was incredible and I don't think that anyone will deny India deserving to win the match.

But we can also say that Australia was actually unlucky. The rain interrupted the match at the most inconvenient time for Australia. The track was not best suited for batting after the rain. Son that is one reason for Australia not doing well at all in the match.

What an excellent performance by Indian team. There were a little delay due to rain but after that India set 400 runs target for Australia. And what a great partnership of Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill both made centuries. Shubman Gill made 104 runs for 97 balls and Shreyas Iyer made 105 runs for 90 balls and he also got player of the match award.
And in the bowling line India also surprised us and they didn't give chance Australia to go above 250 runs. And with in 29 overs they got all wickets of Australian team. Congratulations to India team.
