LOL. That's where they are king but that's not permanent.
You never know what would happen if the target was 240 or above. David Malan was all set and confident. He would be more aggressive if they would be required to chase a bigger score. He played well. You already have realized that I guess. Malan played slowly because the score wasn't high.

I did place a bet for England today and won though it wasn't that easy LOL.

I was actually disappointed with the batting performance of senior Bangladesh cricketers I thought Tamim and Shakib Al Hasan Mahmudullah Hasan Mushfiqur Rahim were there and the pitch was Mirpur home ground. So seeing the opening game, I thought that the run can take 250 plus.
But after ten overs, the situation completely changed as the run rate per over and the strike rate of the batsmen started to decrease gradually and consistently loosing did not allow Bangladesh to go above 210 runs. Although Nazmul Hossain tried with a calm bat and managed to score 58 runs but his strike rate was only 70. England's batsmen, on the other hand, did a complete team work and David Malan scored a brilliant century. If we talk about the reason behind Bangladesh's loss today, I would say weakness in their batting performance. If you look at the chart below, you will understand the reason for their loss.

Bangladesh tried hard to win the match but the target was too low for the fight , if they had made 250 something may be they could have won the match .
England played really good and sensible specially David Malan his century is brilliant.

At certain times it really felt like Bangladesh give their wickets away for nothing. Shanto is often trolled for bad performance. Today he had a good chance of proving everyone wrong by getting a century. He was also looking good to get a century. But then he played a really bad shot. Overall, good performance from David Malan, and congratulations to England.

Yes it was a close contest and England managed to win this game somehow. Bangladesh Batsmen were not able to collect enough runs, 209 are not enough runs on the board to win the game. Apart from Shanto 58 runs there is no one noticeable contribution from any other batsmen. Bangladeshi bowlers were not able to pick wicket of Dawid Malan otherwise the result would be in there favor.
Bangladesh now have a feel that they can win the second game. They just need to bat with responsibility, don't just throw away your wickets.

You cannot guarantee that Bangladesh will win the 2nd match. Bangladesh was likely to win. But they fell because of weakness in their game You have to believe it. You can't ignore England. England are good enough at cricket and they have good players in their team to beat a team like Bangladesh. The 2nd match may also can lost Bangladesh against England. Because there are good bowlers in the England team. If the Bangladesh team does not play with awareness then Bangladesh will be under great pressure in the 2nd match as well

Bangladesh couldn't drag the match the way they started the match in the beginning. After the fall of Liton Das's wicket, Bangladesh's run rate accuracy slowly started to decrease. And after ten overs it got worse and worse. None of Bangladesh's senior players performed well with the bat today. And in the end I thought England did what they did, but Bangladesh also put them under a lot of pressure. Overall the match was enjoyable.

England have already lost 166/7 wickets, 210 runs target is not too difficult for the English team. But with England falling by 7 wickets, the match is pretty much under Bangladesh's control. England would have been all out much earlier if David Malan had not kept wickets from one side.
David Malan remains unbeaten on 83 off 118 balls. Finally we can expect the desired century from David Malan.

Bangladesh may end up winning this match. England is in deep trouble and they still need another 64 runs to win, with just 4 wickets in hand. Dawid Malan
is still out there with 72 not out, but other batsmen have failed to make an impact. The England batsmen are really struggling against Bangladeshi spinners. And the big problem for England is that they have three tail-end batsmen to come next - Adil Rashid, Jofra Archer and Mark Wood. For England, required run rate is still less than 5 runs per over, but they are running out of partners to Malan.
