With another coin I had the same problem. Turned out my antivirus was blocking the Wallet-QT of that coin. So maybe your antivirus software is blocking the Avatarcoin QT?

With another coin I had the same problem. Turned out my antivirus was blocking the Wallet-QT of that coin. So maybe your antivirus software is blocking the Avatarcoin QT?
