What I did was just plug in first via ethernet and then from there setup the wifi connection and unplug.  Restart system and I was able to access it through the wifi and run all the settings.

ok if anyone has the know how to config a Avalon Mini ( 60ghs model ) to connect to wifi and start mining and allow the access to the config page via the wifi connection and if someone can help me do this i have like 0.0008 btc i can send ya for the help since i am very tight on funds after buying this thing

yea i fixed this long ago

Wow, this link even got newer firmware then the official one.  Thanks Smiley
Yes I make it and maintain it to be in line with my cgminer releases. It's up to date with cgminer 4.2.1

Hey is there any way to make an AVALON Mini respond to the Config page over Wifi connection???
I have it in another room and it is connected over wifi but it will only allow me to config it if i am connedted via lan, and Since this is being moved to another location in a few days i want to be able to remote access to this device ( API ) once it is in the new location ( all the way across town )

I have one of the 70gh/s Gen 1 units.
I want to add a 4th module but I am cannot find them anywhere and if I did get one I am not sure how to install it as directions are lacking to say the least.
Does anyone know of a seller for the modules and directions on how to install it if I can source one?
Thanks

Received my avalon today and followed the instruction to use an ethernet cable and now I cant access my avalon anymore.  Any help would be appreciated.

1.  Set your laptop to static IP of 192.168.1.2, mask 255.255.255.0.  The 169.254.x.y address says it is configured for DHCP and does not find a DHCP server.
2.  Connect it to your router, and ping 192.168.1.1.
If I understand the thread so far, your router will answer.
You now know that the laptop is configured correctly, and also that the router will be a conflict with the 703n failsafe mode.
3.  Disconnect the laptop from the router and connect it to the lost Avalon.  Avoid the router in this configuration.  I believe the 703n auto-senses so you don't have to worry about crossover cables.
4.  Start the Avalon, and hold in the button on the TP-Link 703n to achieve failsafe mode (rapid blinking light)
5.  The 703n now has address 192.168.1.1.  This is the OpenWRT failsafe configuration, it is not on the 192.168.0.x subnet at this point.
6.  Ping the Avalon.  It should answer.
7.  Configure the Avalon as you wish and shut down.
8.  Restore the connections to your router.
9.  Restore the laptop configuration.
10. Restart the Avalon and the laptop.

Thanks a lot for this kinf of post ProfMac !!!

Really appreciated

Got : Socket connect failed: Connection refused

Doing this solved the issue :

Power on the avalon, wait 10 second and hold the reset switch of the tplink until the blue led blinks really fast.

Set the computer IP to 192.168.1.2

telnet 192.168.1.1

set a password

ssh [email protected] ifconfig 192.168.0.100

reboot the avalon

then I was able to access the web interface @ 192.168.0.100

Enjoy

Had the same problem when I upgraded the firmware of one avalon.. after a lot of reading, I finnaly resolved it.. dont remember how.. think I had to reset the tplink with the reset button next to the network connector.. then run ssh [email protected] and finally change ip with ifconfig.. then I was able to connect to the web interface.. was few month ago..

Just upgraded another avalon firmware last week.. same problem.. tonight im working to make it work again...

Ill post back here if issue resolved, with the solution..

I've got a crazy high number of stale shares which is costing me about 25% loss on hashing speed.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause that and if there is a way around this?
If not I am afraid I will have to return the unit.

here's the thread where I explained my problem.

When I use:

Code:
cgminer -o uk1.ghash.io:3333 -O x.x:x -D --verbose --avalon-options 115200:16:10:45:1024:55 --api-allow "W:127.0.0.1" --api-listen

I get an error like:
