RC,

You addressed this promptly with communication in these threads. Payment was received.  I appreciate the ownership y’all are taking with this breach. to me, it says a lot about your character and customer service. I have no bad feelings on this. mistakes happen,  I understand you have learned from them and look forward to what you do in the future.

Always a pleasure.

Thank you. Means a lot.

I wanted to confirm communication from RarityCheck.  I have 3 silver coins (46,47 and 70).  Thanks to this forum, I was able to redeem coins 46 and 47 and found out that coin 70 was not loaded (confirmed from RC there was some confusion on my order).  That being said, I am taking RC's offer to have my coins updated with new keys and will provide the funding that I recovered for coins 46 and 47. Coin 70 RC will fund per my original order.

So far, I am very pleased with the correspondence and commitment.  I was  honest about recovering the BTC from 46 and 47 before they were swept, and am pleased with the commitments so far.

Thank you for communicating with the board, it is appreciated.

Wait what? Are you REALLY sending the BTC back to his new keys?  Roll Eyes

We learned from our mistakes. Failure can’t deter us.
We will not use the same key gen software. We are looking into options. Let us know if you have any suggestions.
If we fail again we will refund again. Failure is part of the process.
It’s good that we got to know this issue earlier than rest of the series.

“Failure is part of the process”  my god man. This is utterly ridiculous and no one should ever purchase a loaded item from you again. I mean these statements are mind boggling.

You also have not shared anything about “us”. Who is us Huh Coin makers have an obligation to be ENTIRELY transparent.

STOP telling people not to crack cases/peel. That is not any of your business man, and it only stands to make you look shadier.

Hi RC
I’ve sent at least 3 DMs but I’m sure you’re flooded right now.

Please refund my .011 I paid to fund the coins I won in week 6 auction.  They have not been loaded and I don’t intend to fund them after this discovery.

Tbh, I really don’t want the coins I won in Week 7 but have honored my bid and sent payment.  I will not fund those either until more details revealed possibly regarding compromise.

I am sorry this has happened to you; I do like your work and am sure you’ll pull through this adversity and flourish.

My message has payment address.

Ty

Apologies for the delay. BTC has been sent. Please confirm once received.

based on the quality of the paper and ink used - I recommend peeling all of RC coins - many of them have ink that is bleeding which will only get worse over time.

some of them were very hard to decipher and considering they are all only 2-3 years old, I cannot imagine they will lose their legibility more and more over time.

also some of them either have multiple fonts used in the one key or the letters had to be manipulated - one had two capital "Q"'s and they were considerably different.

This is not true. Please dont peel coins because of ink issues.
All paper used is waterdrop water proof paper.
Keys are easy to read on both VIBGYOR and vigilante series. For the hole coin only issue might be J vs 3.
It’s also not true that multiple fonts hav been used. The shape of hole coin holos is such that the text curves so it might look like different font has been used.

This has already been done on the other thread as this thread is to take care of those affected and the other for RCA.

as a note - many have peeled all their RC coins. When a coin maker has been compromised, one must assume all works are compromised.

we really need to hear about your key generation process and how it was different for the affected coins vs the ones you claim are safe.

and then a very detailed post on how exactly you generated keys for each project.

yes. We will provide details.
But Mopar this thread is for helping those who are impacted.

As this is a widespread issue(not only for VIBGYOR coins). This is an issue beyond our collectibles.
Please let’s use the other thread for root causing and keep this for helping those impacted.

understood - and sorry, I wont post these questions here then.

We will reholo and refund the coins
What makes you think you can now do this securely, when you failed the first time?

We learned from our mistakes. Failure can’t deter us.
We will not use the same key gen software. We are looking into options. Let us know if you have any suggestions.
If we fail again we will refund again. Failure is part of the process.
It’s good that we got to know this issue earlier than rest of the series.

If you Liaise with either MoparMiningLLC or krogothmanhatten regarding key generation, they have the process
already tested and proven.

TBH nobody wants to go through this again, so its best to get the process done 100% now rather than a
kind of trial / process of elimination scenario.

Good idea. Sure. We can check with them.
