Let me take a look at what games you all recommend, and I will try it later, because I don't usually play games very much.
I don't usually play games. If it is really boring, I will play "Angry Birds". 
Red Alert or Yuri's Revenge is still the best offline game for me. It's like a Warcraft but with much more high tech infrastructure.
I also play the temple Run Offline game.
I love clone hero! aka guitar hero, has an online community but for the most part is offline!!
I had some Internet problems last week and couldn't play anything for a few days. Usually I prefer online games with others but when it's not working I started to play solitaire again. Used to play it back in the days and totally forgot how much fun it is.

Playing offline game is very interesting for me. Few years back offline games are only the way of playing games in pc. Now online based games replaced of offline games. Offline games are very effective sides because its no need of data connection or wifi. Anyone can easily play and enjoy this kindsnof games. I also fond of offline games so much.
My favorite offline game is zombie tsunami. I play it quite a lot but my record is not very good, my analysis is very bad.

I have so many offline games on my mobile phone but all of it is on PS1 emulator.

When I was a child I loved going to play arcade games with my friends, that's why I only have classic games on my phone ... they are the best
I like them. You know what? you can still play arcade games through browser? no need to download and you can choose as much games as you want.
