The concept was brilliant but now has been watered down to a bonus for the finder. The Zcash forum link is also unavailable. Wonder what happened in between. Anyway, since I don't remember finding any blocks in a pool, maybe there's nothing for me here lol.

pool is down whats up? have you closed it or is it just an error? thanks for the update.

The Pools seem to be working when going to the Dashboard links, active miners and blocks found too which is surprising.

i am really totally new to mining. i am using an old mac and i am getting 22.4 sols/s :-) so if the pool finds a block i will get some dust. do you now if there is a better miner for mac than Nheqminer for CPU?
and i don't have to pay for the electricity in this case.

Correct. And on zogpool you can check your share score and see you will be rewarded your ratio of share score to zec reward for a block. Although you can't see everyone else's share scores unless you know their address to compare with. I currently have a 30 million share score on zogpool and have been running 1-2 kH/s since the last block over a week ago.

I haven't heard of a better miner for CPU personally but maybe someone else has.

Not sure, we were wondering the same thing. But you are right, looks like some kind of small cpu farm or really old gpu.

I haven't really kept up on cpu mining but I was getting ~10H/s from a low end cpu with xenon solver so some of those would be higher end cpus I suppose. Unless better cpu miners are out now.

85 workes? whats this? a mini bot-net? a lot of workers with a low hashrate. what do you think about that? i think it is strange.

thank you. unfortunately on zogpool the last block was foud 2016-12-02 16:27:39. i hope we have more luck in the future.

Statistically this is a bit unfortunate but we had a little streak of blocks found with low hash rate before the diff jumped up. And someone on luckpool just found a block with less than 1k Sol/s

Congrats to http://luckpool.org/#!/coin/ZEC/wallet/t1ST3aeb7fipZeribU2mRUP3srWBdzJnjvs

for finding block #27609

do i understand this correct? zogpool shares the reward? only the luckpool is solo? i am new to mining and not sure if i understood poplins right.

Yup that's correct. It can be a bit confusing and I have had a few people asking why they aren't paid shares on luckpool. So glad you asked.

Zogpool = regular shares (collected over the entire interval between blocks, paid when blocks are found)
Luckpool = Shares ignored, account that finds block is rewarded the entire block (10 ZEC).

Cheers and good luck!

Are you able to put an exchange address as the mining address and still get the block reward if one gets found by oneself ?

Sorry for the late reply. I am much more active on the zcash forums. https://forum.z.cash/t/pool-ogpool-org-0-fee-now-with-solo-mining-rewards/8668/1

But yes on luckpool you are able to mine directly to an exchange address. The pool writes its own address into the new block and does an internal TX before sending the reward to your exchange to allow this to be possible.

Cheers!

Hey everyone! I have been working on new features and have now rolled out the first to www.luckpool.org. Since a lot of people have been asking me to calculate how long it will take their hash to find a block, I have added a "Luck" parameter to the worker stats that will estimate how long it will take you to find a block in days.

I have also added a share score reporter to www.zogpool.org. The share score is calculated by giving higher values for shares that have a lower target hash. The closer you are to a solution the more share value you will collect in the pool for splitting the reward.

Cheers!

After a bit of a hackathon i have created a new pool and converted it into a solo 100% reward for finding the block target difficulty pool. I just launched it and you're all welcome to join www.luckpool.org  Grin

The UI is the same atm but the engine has been updated.

connect: luckpool.org:3357

-server location: EU
-no payout fee
-worker UI stats (still improving but works for now)
-all known miners work
-adjustable luck percentage (currently 100% of reward goes to finder)

Best of luck everyone!
