Some old coin are really undervalued right now and worth accumulating they are more trusty thanks to the time they are around at least in my opinion anyway good luck with your investment Smiley
old coins are currently experiencing a huge decline and in my opinion it will be an investment priority. because now new coins or tokens are very risky

Old coins with your definition absolutely win, new ICO coins are very unpredictable and I still do not understand why some go up and some down. There is no logic in my view in the price development, the old coins have it.

Old coin will be low interested by many people and new coin will give more motivated to trade or invest, how ever new coin have great chance on higher price and could take much profit than trade or invest with old coin.
The fact is that new coins develop their projects at the current state of the cryptocurrency market, which still negatively affects their pricing. While the old coins began to grow, Following the example of 2016, when Bitcoin had a price of $ 500. It seems to me that if the coin fell in price by more than 500%, then they will not rise to the old level.

It all depends, new altcoins still need development to be able to prove to it's investors that it has a good long-term potential. A lot of successful ICOs last year had paused on development or had been left because of lack of funds due to the bad market. Only a few are struggling and are on continuous development. The bear-market had somehow cleansed the market since there had been a lot of trash/scam coins in the market.

The falling in pricing mostly affects the ico coins or tokens.  Most of the projects that were listed during this fall has lose over 95% of the icos value and that in turn has affected investors' sentiment.

new coins can usually be quickly registered at the exchange because they have funds obtained from collecting funds from the ICO sales they offer to investors and they also have a better team and most ICOs are created because they want to provide the best solutions generated from their platform.

old coins: coins that went through the bull run
new coins: are ICO tokens from projects during the bear market, mostly not listed on exchanges.

wait if all you know about old coins and new coins is just like this, it's better to learn crypto deeper.

You know the old coins are coins that already operate their platforms and can be used fully. while new coins are projects that are just developing and their platform has not been released. so it doesn't matter if the coin is released after or before the bull run. as long as their platform hasn't been used yet the project goes into a new coin.

It is obvious that all the aspect of the space had struggled due the giant force of bitcoin. Over the past year the average dump in price of most of the old token/altcoin from the last bull run is close to 90% while the new coin are holding to their price. Most ICOs in the later part of 2018 decided to postpone the listing which their decision could be justified or condemned as the market revives.
With the approaching news of bull run and present the value of altcoins,
1.  can the altcoins ever hit the ATH price even at $20000 bitcoin?
2. Can the new coin from ICO be an alternative even with so much old coin held in some portfolios?
3. will you choose to hold on to old coins or sell to invest into new ICOs?

In my observation it's certain that when Bitcoin price goes up every other Altcoins follow as well, I don't think new coins from ICO will be a good alternative to the old once, you don't expect New coins without working products, not listed yet to surpass a project with working product and already trading on exchanges. To me I believed holding the old Coins will be more beneficial and safer.

1. I think they can, but of course not all of them. I believe there is some gold nuggets among them. 2. Why not? A lot of traders with old coins are interest in new coins too I guess. 3. Depends on the time (earlier or now) and my financial abilities.

In this bear market I don't see new coins getting anywhere, with some few exceptions...all new projects have is hype and hype is not a driver in a bear market when people are mainly concerned to loose more or even everything
You can say that but it not all new coin that hype was the only thing that drive it price and every crypto investors and traders must first concern the concept, community support, team involving capacity and historical data of new or old coin before invest in it this is what some experienced cyptoneirs sees in BTT and GRIN

Mind you, some old/new coin won't go anywhere once the bear market is over.

but the loss of investors is a temporary phenomenon and eventually everything will change. with new altcoins all the harder, because a lot of good projects do not launch their projects now and postpone their start at a later time, so with new coins all is so hard now.

some old coins are dead, some still survive, I think new coins and old coins have the same potential to grow, the difference that I see is that new coins don't dare to speculate in big prices. if there is a choice which I have to choose, my choice is still the same, that is, in the old coin, because it is more secure to survive.
New coins are only temporary bubbles to trade in the market. Instead of creating a bunch of new ones, it’s worth taking up the old ones and developing them because they are already settled, have gone through a lot of obstacles.

I prefer to buy old cryptocurrencies than the new emerge cryptocurrencies. I cannot guarantee the high returns that I can get through patronizing new coins. I keep investing in old coins because it is now proven that they have potential in the market.
I also like that because the old coins will definitely develop well rather than new coins, because there are many new coins which in the end are short due to difficult development

At the moment I prefer the old time-tested coins.
For example Ethereum.
During its existence, the coin has proved that it is able to remain in the top even in the conditions of constant volatility of the cryptocurrency market.
I do not exclude the possibility that new coins that appear may eventually become better than some old ones, but this is the endless progress of the market.

You're right, new coins are very easy to manipulate so if you want to trade it's better to use old coins. This is not a question of how much profit we can get, but about how much risk there is. the market is still bad, and strange if we talk about big profits. so it's better to play safe or you will be disappointed.

I think that new ones like old coins can be an excellent trading tool, everything depends only on the market situation. In the current market, I would put primarily on old projects, as they are more stable than new ones.

I would not say that there are stable coins in this market) When everything flew down, all the altcoins flew about the same, investors are still new or old coins, when it comes to money.

I like old coins more because I know old coins earn much more. There is no risk of old coins and there is more demand in the market. And the demand for new coins is somewhat lower but I think the new coins are good for long-term investment.
