I love to trade
Is there any benefit to buying now as opposed to on the 24th?
no benefits in their proper meaning, but you will only know price and total btc rose, that can make you change your thought about buying or not

Howdy! I have one very serious concern. If lisk cant get a desk top wallet or even a browser wallet working propperly how does rise anticipate doing this?

I am not tech so cant mess around with linux etc.

So how will I get my rise when the time comes pleasE?

The issues with Lisk's web wallet on launch were not due to a technical issue, but load. They had a huge amount of load, that they didn't anticipate. I believe they quoted numbers in the area of 50k connections per second. Thats insane traffic.

We, luckily, have the benefit of seeing what happened with them, and we can compensate accordingly.

We are going to run a large number of servers hosting the web wallet, all behind a load balancer. This will spread the load out fairly evenly among the different servers. Each server will also be running Firewall and DDoS mitigation. The week prior to launch, we plan on running some pretty hefty tests against the servers to ensure it will maintain under the load.

Is there any benefit to buying now as opposed to on the 24th?

Bitcoins price could continue to RISE, so if you are buying BTC to invest, it might cost you more.

Im also going to be hosting 5+ nodes on launch with SSL and  DDoS mitigation to help the network.

From the looks of the sample wallet .... you adapt it on LISK . So much so that the format of address is pretty much the same.

That we did. We have made some pretty major changes to the core of the system, and a new wallet is coming, but it's not ready for much discussion yet.

The Lisk project is great, just not open enough for our liking, so we decided to take their great core code, and add in support for other languages, using different techniques and technologies than NodeJS Sandboxing.

Sorry that if I repeat the question. I saw Ritche are doing escrow of this ICO. Will there be a RISE pre-sale in bittrex like DAO?

This is the sale you can be part of now with Richie as escrow. As far as I know we will finish on the 24th and that is that, maybe it will be added right away but who knows, it will be ready to trade somewhere that is for sure.

Can confirm that the testnet is working nicely now! Had a few issues but Justin sorted them all promptly!

I used DigitalOcean Ubuntu machine

To setup the test node run the script.

Code:
curl https://rise.vision/cdn/RiseInstaller.sh | bash

I had an issue the first time, but i rebuilt the droplet and ran again and it worked fine.

Thanks for all the help Darkoth89.

Just to critique slightly, you shouldn't need to do any additional steps except run the curl at this point. The libpq-dev install and the addition of postgres to the apt-repository is done by the script as of this morning.

Code:
curl https://rise.vision/cdn/RiseInstaller.sh | bash
Should be all you need as of this morning :-)

EDIT: Removed sudo requirement from command.
