Poor preparation for a competition that some countries have been preparing their athletes for since the last Olympics. There is no way they will do better than those other countries.

We are proud of what they achieved, and we expect better in the next competition.

There are many things this season that has stood out the most, the African Cup being the most talked about.  The cup certainly plays a role in women's players and the game, and the women have been at the forefront of this season's best performances.

The Super Falcons are only formiddable when it comes to the Women's African Cup of Nations, they have won that tournament so many times that it is now safe to call it their title. That being said, they always fail to perform in the global stage, and that is either in the Women's World Cup or in the olympics, it is worrying that our girls perform well in our continental tournament, but are dismal in the world stage, it has to chage ASAP.

This year sport activities were not favourable to Nigerian Team. The Super Falcons could not win any game. And from analyses, they played three (3) games and win zero games and loss three games and that is they just went there to warn their legs and not foe competition. And the only sport that do well was the female basketball team which is the D'Tigtress and the coach Rana Wakama wan the best coach of the Paris Olympics 2024 in the female basketball.

The betting odds for Brazil and the odds for Japan were almost equal, but Japan won the match. Many believed that Brazil women would perform well against Japan and win with their strong attack. Although Brazil won their first round match against Nigeria, they lost against Japan in the second round. Brazil team played great until the first time, and they went ahead with a goal, but in extra time Japan team attacked Brazil strongly. 90+2 and 90+6 consecutive strong attacks led to two goals in the last minute, resulting in a 2-1 goal difference where Brazil lost and Japan collected three points.

But the important thing was to get the 3 points
Now it's also very important to beat Japan, so they can play Spain with peace of mind, because it's going to be a very difficult game, I'm sure

If you look at the results of the first match, and how each team performed, it looks like USA, Spain, and Germany are worthy enough to be candidates to win this tournament because they played quite impressively and seem to have had very good preparation. France may be playing quite well, but that's because they are the hosts, and I'm not quite sure if France can continue to play well against teams like USA, Spain or Germany.

Spain looks quite promising. Not only did they succeed in beating Japan, but in game they were far superior to their opponents. Likewise with Germany, although they didn't really dominate the match because the opponents they faced were also strong teams but Germany has a fairly solid defense. Their attack line is also quite good, especially the performance of Jule Brand, who in my opinion has above average pace and skill.

I wasn’t surprised by seeing this because all these countries that win their games are very good, their men are good likewise the women are also going to try their best to win, I expect Spain to defeat Japan because if you take a look at Spain squad you will see those players are very good and many of them play for a clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona and as woman, playing for Real Madrid and Barcelona you have to know how to play a winning game, but let be honest Germany girls and USA girls are playing, most especially Germany girls defeating Australia girls with 3 goals show that they are also capable of going far in this tournament.

And as for Nigeria and Brazil, I expect the game should end draw because I support Nigeria winning the game but Brazil won the match by scoring one goal, Nigeria's women tried their best but they didn’t have the luck to score a goal, Brazil women dominated the game and have more shots on target and their defensive line were better than Nigeria own but still the Nigeria team try their best and they should put more effort next time.

from the current standing so far, france and Canada are top on group A with same 3 point and a 1 goal advantage, Germany and USA are also top on group B with 3 point and 3 goals advantage while Spain and Brazil are still top on the group C with 3 point and a 1 goal advantage. With just a single match played, the big teams that are favourite to win in this Olympics have moved a step ahead of others and have already started to show a clear sign of dormainnace. From the FIFA ranking Spain is the favorite of them all and even from the angle of thier performance at the last women's world cup, it's still showing that they are the favourite to win this year's Olympics but again, this might just be a perfect opportunity for England to bring a sense of joy to thier country after the men team lost to Spain at the finals of the Euros. It's good that we always have a very competitive tournament that's always deficult to predict right from the euros to the champions league and almost all the big soccer tournament. No team is sitting back even though she's the defending champion, for you to win thier is always an high level of discipline and commitment that's expected of you and that's the beauty of each game.

But my dear country Nigeria is involved in this case and while they might not be favorite to go on to far in this tournament and considering that they've lost thier first game against the Brazilian and still have to play against Spain and Japan, it's a huge task ahead heat them up to become more strong and if miraculously they manage to come out of this stage into the next, it's surely going to affect thier ranking for the better.

He/She already fixed it. I think that he/she meant that Spain was favorite instead of host, although it seems that the favorite was United States instead, so I don't really know, maybe it was just a lapsus (we're all human, except for a few AIs lately...).

My prediction is that, following the trend of the last women's world cup, and the uefa euro '24, Spain will win again. It seems that we have something more than beaches and sun to export, fortunately

This is a high discrimination in odds judging from the fact the Japan women team are also a great team judging from their previous performance just as you already said.
The women game is always a very interesting one to watch and I love the high improvement on women and I’m pretty sure that the game of the year wouldn’t be an exception.
The odds for the Spain women team already says a lot about them and I’m sure they wouldn’t disappoint as they’ve always proven themselves over the time.

Today's match in Group C pits Spain against Germany women's team and it is a very competitive match between the two teams. The two teams were tied 1-1 before half-time, although the two teams were level at the moment, with Japan scoring first in the 13th minute and Spain leveling the game in the 23rd minute. But after halftime, maybe the two teams will attack more excitedly to win.

Group A pits Canada against New Zealand but here though the betting odds suggest Canada to win. But at the moment the New Zealand team had a great game and scored a goal in the 13th minute which put them well ahead of Canada. Right now the half time game is over but Canada couldn't equalize the game but maybe after half time Canada will definitely try to bring the game under their control.

I am looking to bet on this competition due to lack of other matches, but I have not followed women football enough to make a calculated bet.

Who knows which teams are the wild horses for the tournament? I can make out the favorites from the odds and form coming into the tournament

Maybe you're a fan of the Brazil Women's football team. They have different players now from years you mentioned, so the results may be far from those years when they dominated the Olympics. Or they might finally win a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

For sure, there will be upsets, like what happened when Morocco's men's football team won against Argentina.

For me I think the USA will win the gold in women's football at the Paris Olympics. They have been good in recent tournaments, only losing to Mexico in the group stage of the Concacaf W Gold Cup, winning the rest of their matches.

The Spanish women team is a very solid team so I expect them to have a wonderful performance in this year's Olympic games because they have a very good front but in today's game they play against Japan who is also a great side judging from their previous record the odd that is give to Japan women is tempting because I don't think Spain women will defeat them very easily. Spain has 1.53 odd while Japan is given 5.50 as given by sporty bet, let's see how the match will go later in the day.

I'm mainly going to watch the Brazil games
The team won the silver medal twice, in 2004 and 2008, but so far they haven't managed to win the gold one
It's very likely that this will be Marta's last competition, so I'll be rooting hard for them to make it
