At the time I am writing this the bitcoin is at 296$.
It will soon definitely touch the 300$ mark. After 300 do you think its going to increase? Or are the greedy short term investors going to throw away the coins and bring down the price to sub 250s?
What's your view on this?

So funny how the situation changes over time. 1 year earlier we're probably thinking "OMG BTC is dropping to $700".

Tongue
Everyone was also like OMG its rising up to 1200$ when it suddenly rose from 600$ to 1200$ in a couple of days. That was past and we need much more time to live in that situation again.

I am thinking about taking a position in this one just in case it goes to say $600-1000 again...looks like it's possible. But only time will tell. Wink
It will take upto November to reach the 600-1000$ mark, although I expect it to rise suddenly I December 2015 and reach like 2000$ or more.

290 on bitstamp. I hope we see it going up a bit higher and remain optimistic but honestly I think it will settle around this price for a little while or maybe even dipping a little bit. Although I don't really trade much.

The price may settle around at 300, but there could be other causes for it going down. For instance, Bitcoin being banned in another country, scamming exchanges, and so forth. I see 250-350 as a steady price with anything higher or lower being abnormal prices.

I am glad it is settling at $300. I am not bothered if we are back at $280 next week. We need a stable bitcoin. A slow and steady climb at $5 per week will be better than $50 in a month.

Its been a steady rise from 220 more or less, without any major correction. I dont know, i like the price going up, but it seams a bit unrealistic,
i made my prediction and sold, if im right, ill be able to rebuy lower, it has to drop and take a breath sooner or later, if not then buyback at loss it is.

cheers
I don't think that major corrections in bitcoin world are too often. Although when we have corrections we suddenly drop down by 50% or more.

I dont mean major correction as in insane drop of 50% or anything, but atleast to 250$. I think the price will continue to rise after correction, but this straight rise doesnt make much sence to me anymore,
since there were no real beartraps..
And with all the recent news flushed in peoples faces, it seams artificial to me, but i may very well be wrong in the end.

cheers

I think it will relax above the $300 level within a few days.

Waiting for $250 level is not really an ideal situation as it most likely won't happen.

Realistically $275 is the temporary bottom I expect, if it goes down any time soon.

We will pass $300 mark eventually, but the longer we take to get to $300, the higher we will launch past it. and as an added bonus, $300 will become very solid bottom resistance if nothing bad happen

It already did in several exchanges...
Most of the exchanges show less than 300$ price. Which exchange are you talking about?

It went up over $300 on Finex earlier.

OMG Its soon going to be $300150.

I am selling this deadcat rise around $320 or so.

Price has been going up for almost two months now.  If the term you're attempting to apply to it is "dead cat bounce" you're way off.
