In my opinion, at the moment, buying bitcoins is a smart decision.

However, a local decline in the price of bitcoin (correction) is possible.  In this case, you will be able to buy bitcoins at the new (lower) price.  To do this, you need to have a reserve of fiat currency.

Where to buy Bitcoin?  You can buy bitcoin through exchangers, exchanges, friends - crypto enthusiasts, etc.

In my opinion, there is no need to wait for the best moment to buy the first cryptocurrency.  Better to buy satoshi today and then buy satoshi tomorrow.  You can invest a portion of your fiat money in Bicoin every month.

There is a lot of information about the safe storage of bitcoins on the Bitcointalk forum.
Although the price of bitcoin has dropped decently today, it is still slightly above $ 23,000. It is hardly worth buying it now at such a high price. The bitcoin price will undergo correction more than once and fall below this value. Moreover, the Christmas and New Year holidays are coming and the price of cryptocurrency traditionally falls at this time. In my opinion, you need to wait for a more acceptable price to purchase bitcoins.

Don't worry too much, man. At least now you know where to put your extra cash.

The predictions go that BTC hasn't even scrapped the value it could reach so in the larger scheme of things you're not late, and BTC has still got along way to go. But at least the realization stroke you, and you know the truth.

If you have bough bitcoin last March then you are earning a huge profit today already but it is not the end yet as you still have the chances to profit knowing that it is not the peak of the market yet even if bitcoin price was able to reach a new ATH again.

Local exchange will be the safest option for you to buy a bitcoin to avoid any problem and you can feel secure purchasing some bitcoin to your local wallets especially if it is being used by many, the same in my our country. I only use our local exchange to buy and sell crypto and storing crypto but if you don't have local exchange then it will be good if you will choose the top exchanges like Binance and other reputable exchange, avoid dealing with other people to avoid being scammed.

many regretted when the price of bitcoin in March experienced a drastic drop and did not buy it, I also experienced the same thing, regretted not buying it when the price of bitcoin fell, and to buy bitcoin that was safe you could buy it in a large exchange and to store bitcoin safely , you can buy a hardware wallet, because storing bitcoins in a hardware wallet is considered quite safe but the price is quite expensive
The fear and panic caused by the first wave of the pandemic during the month of March is enough to discourage people from buying bitcoin, the future was not certain, people had never experience this type of pandemic before thus calls for cautions in the way we live, there are job loses, lockdowns and restrictions in many places and economic recession of the other of the day all these unfavorable conditions are enough to discourage people from buying bitcoin its only the strong hearted that will muster courage and but it.

This is true because personally I didn't expect the price to be this high but you are welcome to the club and is better late than never

Even the past investors do the same mistake so it's better too late than never invested. It's still profitable if you are planning to hold it for long term just a suggestion wait for dip before buying I just feel that the current price right now is over price I mean I expect around 20k not lower than that.

Thats the good signals before buying, and for the wallet just use the wallet that you can own the keys and never use exchange for storing your crypto it's only use for trading.

Not your Keys, Not your Bitcoins
When you are buying make sure you use a reputable exchange like Kraken or Coinbase. That doesn't mean you shouldn't buy bitcoin from a friend who wants to sell it.
Regarding security you should keep your Bitcoin preferably on a paper wallet if you want to keep it long-term or on a hardware wallet. Never keep big amounts on exchanges, especially on unregulated ones which pretty much all of them are at the moment. To me USA registered exchanges are safer than Binance or other shady asian exchanges which don't have any authority supervising them.

We all think about what we could have done, but instead we should look forward and analyse our present situation. Make sure you won't regret not buying BTC now, in a year.

OMG,  You guys were right about BitCoin price going up  Shocked Shocked Shocked  I wish I had bought in back in march   Sad

That being said, I might have to buy some BitCoins now.   I think a hardware wallet is the best, but I need advice form more experienced BitCoin experts when dealing with large amounts that BitCoin is now worth.   Do you guys have any suggestions on the best, most secure way to purchase and store BitCoins without getting scammed or hacked Huh

...
If you are afraid that your BITCOIN will be stolen, save it in a non-custodial wallet, such as Electrum...
One thing is for sure not to store large amounts of Bitcoin in exchange wallets because exchange wallets belong to the exchange and are very vulnerable to hacks.

I wish I kept all my Bitcoins, which I sold during the summer, but there's no point of regrets. Grin
I didn't sold anything during the March price crash, but I never though that Bitcoin will reach a new ATH this December.
Buying at the ATH price is a risky more,so you have to be careful and invest money that you can afford to lose.I see that the price might slowly go back to a level below 22K.
There will be a price correction around Christmas for sure.

So totally true there's no point of regretting in the thing that has already done. For now it was really a total risk if you will going to buy bitcoin at this point of ATH, and yes maybe around Christmas or New Year there will be a price correction.

Buying bitcoin is depends on you if you think right time to you can buy bitcoin. People regrets because they did not buy bitcoin in the last few months ago let say in the beginning of the 2020 when they buy bitcoin and hold for 1 year they get a lot of profit from their money which is really good and I believe those people who invested hundred thousands dollars become millionaire by selling their bitcoin now. Instinct sometimes is the key when is right time to buy you need to decision base your own decision that you do in research.

Well anytime today was a possible time to buy bitcoin unless you can afford it at its ATH price. At some other point it wasn't practical and economical due to of course a sole reason its high price.

I had the same thoughts about my friends and colleagues in regretting themselves not buying Bitcoin early. I know how it feels not to grab the price while it’s still low. Even me myself, I regretted selling too early for quick profit and just remained it as USDT. However, if I could have hold it back then, I would have really enjoyed the pump and calling it the best Merry Christmas gift ever. The market is really unpredictable these days, as we may know that it may pump or dump anytime without warning.

It's okay though. The fact that you are here in the forum, supporting Bitcoin, and know its existence means you're already fortunate. Imagine if you didn't know Bitcoin before, our lives would have been much different.

At least OP had a change of heart now that Bitcoin has been getting a lot of attention from institutions and companies. Anyway, I heard that Trezor has been the most trusted hardware wallet out there so it's worth checking out.

Yes, let's all play along.  You pretend you're buying now.  Then, next time there's a dip, you'll inevitably post another troll topic where you make up a story about how much you lost and act like we're all terrible people and gave you bad advice.

Be honest.  You're buying gold and nothing else until your lord and saviour Peter Schiff instructs you otherwise.   Roll Eyes

Things have changed, with intuitional money starting to buy BitCion, the risks of a complete crash are now much lower.   Peter Schiff is right about a lot of things, but mainstream organizations starting to support BitCoin will be more important to increasing its price more than anything else.   I will probably buy in the next dip since nothing goes up in a straight line.   I am NOT a troll, and have no interest in blaming anyone if the price goes down.   Maybe you did not notice, I have not posted here for a long time, I have been watching what was going on with BitCoin and re-evaluating my position on it...   Things have changed for BitCoin, and I just cant argue with actually making money, so I am in !!!

We do not really know what can happen to bitcoin, and now that it reached more than the first ATH many regret not buying when its price is still low. Investing in bitcoin is very risky but you can't earn if you will not try to take the risk. Better luck next time if bitcoin going back to it's value last March don't hesitate to buy and hold for a long term.

It's better if you will get yourself familiar on how Bitcoin works before jumping into an investment. There are investors who bought bitcoin at $19k+ last year, unfortunately, bitcoin went down and dipped. So they needed to wait, now, if they did hold those bitcoin this will only be the time that the got some profit out of it. It took a year before they got their profit.
Some people holds bitcoin for a longer period though, because it is believed that bitcoin's value will reach much higher value in the future.

Oh Yeah! I remember that was the month when we last saw the last decline in its price and when the price was rising after that, it never fell again and until now the price is still kicking up. no one really knows when will it stop. When the price was kept holding on $19,000, that was one of the indications that the price won't gonna fell anymore since it was able to held at that long. Now the price continues to increase and no one can tell when will it stop.

though it is now below 23k, still the chance of going up for more is still there. if BTC will go more than 25k in the very near future, the OP will say again, wish he had bought this december.  Tongue so yeah, we will hear this kind of statement every now and then. but in the end, it is up to us how we will react on the market. we will always have regrets but should act now before its too late again, right?
