Bitcoin becoming the one and only currency used for any kinds of transactions in the world? No, it is just not possible, even if it is possible the chance of this to happen would be easily equal to zero. There are more than 180 independent countries in existence in our world and for all of them to accept bitcoin as their currency would not be possible at all. There are some countries which actually banned bitcoins too, so bitcoin becoming the one and only currency is kind of an impossible task.

I don´t see one token as the "One True Coin" to rule them all. BTC obviously can´t function as a payment for daily stuff and most (all) of the contenders have their problem. I believe in crypto and blockchain, but I find it more likely that we will use different currencies via one/several platforms. Though.. Vertcoin is the closest, according to me, to Satoshis vision of what BTC should have been Smiley

The possibility of Bitcoin to be the only one world global currency is extreme and far-fetched. Every country in the world has its own economic setup dictating its own currency. The very nature of Bitcoints to be a decentralized crypto-currency goes against the acceptance as one global currency by the individual governments. To govern a country, they will not naturally accept the decentralized economic freedom offered by BTC and rule out the technology and the capacity for innovations. Even though it has been accepted by a few first world countries in their payment system, there are far more third world countries who need to constantly fight for existence. Hence, BTC is still not accepted there.

Even, in the level of micro transactions it is even more difficult as we can't wait for hours to get confirmation when paying in coffee shop with bitcoin. This concept didn’t really exist before. Presently, it acts more like store of wealth like gold right now. At this level what is required is faster confirmation and less fee might be used as suitable payment method for micro transactions. The pricing in Bitcoin is still too unstable, like any other crypto currency. Hence, to replace dollar we will need a currency that will have a much more stable exchange rate.

The way we cannot believe all humans of the world regardless of religion, race, creed or color to be able to live in perfect harmony with one government that represents the interests of all people equally. Similarly, it is still impossible to believe in the one world global economy (BTC) to replace every individual economic setup.

BITCOIN has established its name. People trust this coin. Like, right now in Japan, they have stores where people can buy using BTC. Countries all over the world will start using it. Not too many people are financially literate nor aware of Bitcoin. People are still curious about it, and the room for growth is still quite high! So, it's not impossible!

One currency one world - it's the Utopia's ideal world for sure. However, it's quite a challenging task, because it's going to face many obstacles and difficulties on the way. Beside of Bitcoin, there are still many other alt coins that is more suitable to use as global digital currency (such as dogecoin)

Fiat currency is going to be eliminated sooner or later, just the matter of time...

It's not possible. Think about how to accept your electronic money in those backward and poor areas where they don't even have the Internet. In their place, and gold is valuable currency. Bitcoin is likely to be popular in developed countries and regions, and I think the first is to pay for shopping.

No, I don't think so. I guess there are will only two methode of payment. Offline payment which use gold and silver only and online payment which use cryptocurrency only as representation of gold and silver. I am sure that we will not use paper money anymore.

Well said for me, one currency one world. The fact that bitcoin is us globally is a great factor to say it is use to transact worldwide. Aside from that it is also a currency for transactions in the internet world. That is why we can coin it an international currency.

Probably not because competition was always important, so before there becomes one of something, there would need to be some massive corporate and legal battles taking place. Really doubt it.  Cheesy

I don't think so. Bitcoin has to rise to such a position, at least to be recognized by all countries, and many countries are not very supportive of bitcoin. I'm more inclined to be a currency than the dollar. This may be the best result.

big challenges are waiting for bitcoin in the future, I think, one of the ways that bitcoin can master the world is trying to get through that challenge. so, not easy. moreover today many people leave bitcoin. and bitcoins should try to restore their smiles. and I'm sure bitcoin will rule the world

bitcoin as the world's only single currency is very good, but whether it is already supported with their respective technology of the country, but it is very possible because bitcoin is a virtual currency that is in great demand by the global community

Yes I agree bitcoin can really become a main currency that is accepted globally with this new technology of digital currency some countries are now starting to adopt bitcoin though some do not completely go all in with bitcoin still they support the market with some exchanges and banks starting to accept bitcoin, the involvement of online shopping that accepts bitcoin as a mode of payments marks the start of the new era in world currency.

I think it is impossible to have just one currency in the whole wide world. But it is possible if bitcoin is can be use as mode of payment. We can't have the same currency in the different country like for example in the Philippines the Philippine money value is very low than the USD thats why we can't have a same currency. Its just my opinion. Smiley

bitcoin as a crypto currency is very likely bitcoin to be a means of payment around the world, but this should be supported by a good banking system, and there is a strong control to monitor it

The bitcoin digital currency attracts internet users around the world, in fact bitcoin can be used as a purchase or transfer of funds worldwide without having to go through bank prosecutors, credit cards or government authorities. already many world companies are receiving bitcoin, bitcoin is traded and transferred like traditional money through a trading company. transactions made without a third party or government, now bitcoin became the world's first fully decentralized digital currency

i think not just look how many countries ban bitcoin. well we just say no countries ban bitcoin and it is a good thing but look at the current fees just sending a small amount cost more. maybe others coins will do that like etherium or bitcoin as the primary currency and the other coins as support to it.

For now i think bitcoin is just a small currency but maybe in the future probably who knows about it. I do billieve in bitcoin but not that much. But i realy billieve that someday there is one currency that can conquer the world and we will use it as a mode of payment in the future. If that is bitcoin im not sure maybe some new coins too or degital money.

I don't think bitcoin is just a small currency right now. It market capacity and price is higher than any currency in the world. The problem is that our government just ignore this and won't consider bitcoin as a currency as well.
