Press coverage isn't something new for Bitcoin, also the coverage that has been getting last week were negative, hope true bitcoin believers don't fall in this FUD, Also the bitcoins bag from the bankers and the latest tweets from Donal Trump it's surely boosting bitcoin to the mainstream via social media, I can't believe the price is such low right now.

At least the coverage we are getting last week are immense specially coming for Donald Trump. If he is coming after bitcoin, then Craig Wright should be the first people he should like to meet because after all he claims to be Satoshi Nakamoto. (insert sarcasm here!)  Grin

I think the OP should also include Fed Chair Jerome Powell have to say, comparing bitcoin to gold as a store of value.

Those pictures depict the reality of modern capitalism and slavery. Donald Trump is an idiot and Zuckerberg is a business-minded theif. I don't care if Donald Trump shuts facebook's Libra down. It was supposed to be data-stealing money making machine for facebook.

Well all of the things people enjoy today has that 'data stealing' mechanic you are talking about and quite honestly 'permissions' are there for you to let that data go to them without calling it 'stealing'.

I love it when there's news that the banks are actually the bad guys. The op posted that JP Morgan says Bitcoin is for drugs, and then there're drugs covered by JP Morgan. A lot of banks stand up against Bitcoin under the pretense of fighting money laundering, and then appear scandals of these same banks laundering money. What's sad is that many people somehow manage not to see the news about banks being drug dealers and launderers, but see these kinds of accusations against Bitcoin and take them seriously.
Bitcoin is doing good now, and the articles don't affect the price that much anymore, and that's great.

exactly, they don't want competition. where is fraud there is some bank involved. numbers show that the war on drugs is a great stupidity, it only exists because it is profitable. to criminals, weapon industry, private prison owners. Gives a reason to oppress the poor. You won't see Jaime Dimon being spanked by the police because they found cocaine...

"unregulated crypto"

The good point is that we are talking about regulation. In the past, there was a random link between cryptos & the dark activities {those currencies were designed for that purpose.}
Also, talking about it because of the high volatility in the price and not against that technology.

The outlook of the world is changing and I think one that the emergence of Libra will put pressure on accelerating regulatory laws.

A piece of pretty popular news about people that really hate Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency and so to speak maybe they are hiding something and might as well holding their own Bitcoin and the grudge goes on and on to the point where they can not reach the price of bitcoin anymore, I guess Jaime Dimon wants the price of bitcoin to drop by giving FUD on the  community and spreading atrocity over bitcoin, Just to buy cheap for his own profit, While Trump doesn't have any idea what Bitcoin really is, and what it can really do, He is pretty blinded by the fiat currency Dollar, Well it is hard to blame him.

This has been going on for a long while already. Trump's pronouncement is new but the rest are old issues. Jamie Dimon has always been very vocal against Bitcoin. And yet he has made his own garbage JPM Coin and is believed to have bought his own shares of BTC as well. Banks dismissing employees is not new either. They have always been problematic. Neither is the news that banks are involved in illegal activities.  Well, as to Trump, only his statement is new. But the pattern of releasing uninformed thoughts is very old.

You may not respect Donald Trump in your own way. But in fact, since taking office, he accidentally blows very strong winds and impacts the crypto market. Especially bitcoin. who will assume it is random or what will come after re-election at 2020. Roll Eyes

That is right sir, we need to respect what donald trump opinion for bitcoin or in crypto in general, because as you said he isn't a businessman. Donald trump is politician he is on the government side interest, I am not a US citizen or US residence but I understand him he want to protect the banking economic system of the states.
But if he understands well all about crypto for sure their mind can change at the right time.
You're wrong chap. You don't have to respect the ideas and opinions coming from people who are dumb as fuck and don't know what they're talking about. I'm not a US citizen either but it doesn't take a genius to understand how dumb he is as a human being. He clearly sees Bitcoin as a threat for his banking economy and that is why he wants to pressurize laws to stop its regulation but that's not how democracy works correct.
