human in general have different cultures to each other, the main reason there are many currency because they want to create their own and control their own.

this one world one currency thing can be achieved when the world has become melting pot basically a world where there is less to no more racism and culture difference is normal, then people will care less about difference and actually strive for a good economic system.

as of now it's still kinda hard, but moving forward I'd expect the entire world to go on that path.

Using a single currency is a nice idea but there are different type of cultures and countries in the world and everyone will wish to do their things differently. Unfortunately, racism and discrimination persist, people are descriminating towards themselves, some citizens see themselves and the people in the same country with them as superior, while they see someone that is not from their country as inferior, which is not proper. A world can be a better and suitable place if we melt our hardened hearts and open ourselves for one another. by saying No to racism and discrimination against one another based on skin color, or nationality we can create a better, more harmonious world. unity, acceptance, and equality is really important for the peaceful, development and growth of the world.

Single world currency might sound so convenient, it will eliminate all problems with exchange rates, reduce the cost of transactions, and make trade and pricing more transparent. However, it will also face some challenges . One of which is  that countries would give up their control over monetary policies, that will make them hard to solve their own economic problem if they need to. Besides, one currency adoption would be extremely costly and cumbersome under the prevailing divergent economic conditions among the member countries. The costs of lost economic flexibility and implementation costs are its disadvantages. Given that the benefits of this idea are pretty obvious, such risks are too high.

Yeah, I understand your point of view and you are absolutely right. Implementing a single global currency would be complicated, as each country's government would likely want to maintain control over its monetary system. This could lead to conflicts or crises between nations. Given the world's diversity and size, it's beneficial that each country has its own currency, allowing them to easily access and manage their monetary systems to address economic challenges and problems.

I believe if every country in the world use one currency it will really help the world at large and every nation will benefit from it, there are some benefits or reasons why the world should have a single currency which are.
In simple words, this can never be achieved in a global capitalist system, where money has power and strength like weapons and perhaps more dangerous. The United States studied the global financial system and rushed to impose the dollar as the currency of the global economy, but it failed to impose it as a single, unique currency for many reasons:
- The multiplicity of poles of conflict in the global economy that accept gold as a value recognized by everyone, but without canceling the currencies that represent the value of gold, considering that any currency derives its value from the gold cover.
- The different characteristics of different markets around the world because each currency represents a direct reflection of the state of the economy that determines its value by inflation or deflation. Two economies, one strong and the other weak, cannot have the same currency with the same value.
- Many other reasons...

Even Bitcoin cannot change the rules of the game in the global economy because this would require canceling the entire global financial system and then rearranging it.

For each country, control over the emission of its own currency is a big competitive advantage.

For example, Great Britain once left the euro zone, because it considered being in this zone disadvantageous for itself. At the same time, for Great Britain it was not an easy decision. After all, it lost the consumer markets of the European Union.
Nevertheless, when several countries unite and introduce a single currency, a paradox arises - rich countries begin to subsidize poor countries. How good is this for rich countries?

The loss of economic sovereignty is not an easy decision (especially in the conditions of modern deglobalization).

Yes, we will probably come to the formula - one country, one currency, one humanity! However, this will not happen soon.

I believe if every country in the world use one currency it will really help the world at large and every nation will benefit from it, there are some benefits or reasons why the world should have a single currency which are.

A. When the world have a single currency it will remove or eliminate exchange rate fluctuations there by making international trade and investment more productive and competent and how can this be achieved it will simply remove the risk and Instabilities connected with fluctuating exchange rates.

B. When the world have a single currency it will reduce the cost in making transactions because there will be no more conversion of currency to another currency and this will really benefit business men and women and also travelers, some time when you travel to another country you fine out that the money with you that you think is big is actually small when converted to that county's currency you travelled to, having one currency will make for easy money transaction between two people in different nations.

C. Having a single currency will also help in enhancing price transparency it will be difficult for a business man to import goods into a country and increase the price x 10 of what he bought it, having a single currency will help to reduce price of some specific items globally.

D. Having a single currency will help to unit the world more and every nation will be his brothers keeper and it there will be a global monetary policy this will help prevent corrupt politicians from stealing.

The single currency assumes approximately the same level of development, economy, social level. Take the CE as an example - not all EU countries have switched to the Euro, and continue to use their local currencies...20 countries out of 27 have switched to the Euro..... While in Europe, we can say that the situation is better, in terms of differences in the economy and social level, than, for example, there will be between modern developed countries and third world countries. Already at this, the simplest stage, the idea starts to “bog down”.... There is a single currency for the world economy. But the world is not ready for a global transition to a single currency

Is the power of a sentiment that strong? I don't recall seeing any symbol of my country unite people that much, except for a national flag. Even then I don't think it has a magical power that unites people in one goal. Not to mention people of different races, ethnicity, religion, etc. It feels a bit optimistic and slightly naive that a single currency would achieve that. Looking at USD and seeing some corrupt politicians tells me that some people will try to steal regardless of what currency they use.
I agree, any benefits can be looked on except a single currency uniting everyone, Anthems and Flags, Religion and Culture still has no influence on bringing unity among individuals of same country.

We should expect nothing at all, this is something that can only leave rent free in our minds but the possibility of happening is actual to zero. What about if we call out for those reasons why it should not happen, economy clash will be a problem, i think with this step their will be reasons to call one government (which is impossible to call for) you can't expect one currency under different rule.

The problem here is which country currency would be used as the general currency. Don't forget that we have boundaries and no country government would agree to use another currency that was not created by them. Assuming the world is ruled by one government, it can be possible but the world is too big to be ruled by one country because human are scattered all over the place with different traditions and cultures.

I actually like the idea of having one world one currency, however it would be a lot challenging for factors like economic, political and even logistical to keep the alignment, that in the end, in order to avoid hassles and complications, it’s just better to have a single currency in every country, as there are varied country’s rules and regulations, cultural and national identity differences and monetary policies.

Just theoretical ideas, but when applied on the ground, this idea will collide with hundreds of problems, for example, which paper currency will be adopted in the whole world? Will it be the dollar, the euro, the yen, or the ruble? Or a decentralized currency like Bitcoin?

As for the dollar, this cannot happen because the major countries Europe, China, and Russia will not be satisfied, and vice versa in the case of the euro, the yen, or the ruble, the United States and the rest of the countries will not be satisfied.

As for Bitcoin, it is a great option, but governments will not be satisfied with it because it is decentralized and maintains privacy, so as you can see, this is impossible to implement on the ground.
I have point of view same like you.  No country will favour another country and every country is free and they can make their own currency,So why they will adopt another country currency and it means they will be dependent on that ,and that is called slavery. No country want  that kind of situation and OP had to choose another important topic on which we could debate but that is not possible practically. We saw history in which gold coins used as currency but when states became independent then every country made their own currency. USA want to be dominant on all countries but other countries are not weak to be recessive. The concept of OP is good as thinking point of view but in reality it has no importance in our life.

Different countries 1 currency, it might sound good and could have some factors that will make it look beneficial but you can not also overlook the disadvantage it will create. It could lead to some economic disagreement among countries because you know we have different government in all the country and they have different rules in their country and their financial system regulations may not be considered acceptable in other countries and that could cause chaos. If it's one currency for the whole world, then which country will be the supreme for general financial decisions?

It's not as great as you think, using a decentralized currency will also cause thousands of problems and is even worse than using a centralized currency of country . We all know that the economy can function well through government management and regulation ,  and they manage the economy through banking and fiat system .  So using a decentralized currency could break that and would destroy our economy faster .

The economy is incredibly complex and largely beyond our understanding . Don't just because we need privacy , fear government surveillance ,  fear inflation…and think that using a decentralized currency will make our economy and world better .

doesn't sound like a solution, currencies exist to solve problem, the fact that there are many currencies mainly coming from the fact that each country faces different problem.
you can't just set one solution for all when every country has its own dynamics, economy is not that simple and solving the little problem you mentioned might cause another many and bigger problems.

current economic system already well formed from extensive dynamics of world economy, it doesn't just come out of thin air, also, the fact that each country can create their own currency, and cultivate it to be a strong currency also incentivizes advancement of a country, without proper management a currency will become weak, but a country with good management and strong economy will make the currency stronger.

i think the world is fine the way it is no need something like one world one currency.

If the currency of each country is single, then the standard of living of each country will be single, but the local currency that we are currently using is according to the location of its country and is controlled by the ruler of each country. Just like there is such a regulator of currency, that is why there is a difference between the currencies of each country, Bitcoin is connected to almost all the people of the world, Bitcoin is illegal in our country, yet we are secretly using Bitcoin.
But whenever the currency of our country and the currency of other countries is single, there will have to be a regulator for all countries immediately, this cannot be possible in any way, but I think that if all countries and currencies are single, then other countries will be the most affected. However, underdeveloped countries will never be able to keep pace with developed countries, so I do not think it is acceptable for the currency of the whole country to be single.

If we only use one currency but cannot balance the economies with each other and the per capita income of each country still has a very large gap. That only makes the poor poorer, poor countries poorer, and there will be almost no second chance for development. Do people want that?

Furthermore, it means that we will be under the domination of a single regime or empire, which is a monopoly and we will have no other choice. So to me, it's not a good idea, but a bad idea.

By the way, perhaps the only country that wants this to happen is the United States, they have always wanted to dominate this world and that is why they are willing to do anything including causing war, causing instability around the world...to maintain their dominance.

Nothing but a severe control avoids corruption, look at China.
We already have a single currency accepted worldwide. Just its not the one pleasing everyone.
Yes the US $ is the currency accepted in many establishments worldwide, even in Mongolia. Just to name a country.

You can’t wish for the impossible. Every country has its own currency, and their economic status is tied to it, so having one global currency isn’t going to happen. Maybe Bitcoin would be the best choice if it ever did, since it’s decentralized but honestly, mate, as much as I like the idea, I just don’t see it being possible.

I read all the reasons you laid down, but if your vision doesn’t become a reality, those things won’t happen either.

I should believe that you are talking about fiat currency... And I will say such unification of currency into one currency globally won't be possible and it won't work for different reasons.

One of the reasons that it won't work is that of identity and sovereignty that individual countries carry, except you are also thinking loudly that countries will also become one and which name will be accepted for that one unified country to carry or bear?

Another reason is economic confusion and chaos due to lack of liquidity, no inflow on currency investment, government may not create bonds, financial instruments may be useless.

However, have you thought of the economical consequential effect? And one of it is that there would be job loss because people will lose interest in investment and many companies will go down because of no patronage.

Do you know some companies are alive because of currency trading like exchanges. So if that happens, it means they won't exist and no form of trading would be possible on currency, no arbitrage trading on stablecoins in exchange for currency.

Such will not be possible with currency except you are looking in the direction of bitcoin yet bitcoin doesn't have the ingredients for that for now, if that could be possible.

In terms of the idea you put forward, it is indeed very ideal. but it seems that it will not happen because every country definitely wants to be an influence on other countries and does not want to be dependent on one currency. Moreover, with the capitalist system in the current era, they will compete to create their own stronger currency. as is the case with BRICS where the countries that are members of BRICS want to create their own currency to avoid dependence on the US Dollar.
