So a buddy of mine has invested over $3500 in one coin.

I told him bitcoin could go as high as 9 million per coin in 10 years and to invest in BTC...

He thinks that the spike is over. So he hasn't much at all invested in bitcoin.

You tell me, are trend-lines a fair indicator of future prices?
Ignoring all spikes, bitcoin trends up: https://blockchain.info/charts/market-price?timespan=all&showDataPoints=false&daysAverageString=1&show_header=true&scale=0&address=

I knew from the start onecoin was a ponzi because it wasn't listed on a single exchange,
even after somehow acquiring "2 million members."
Bitcoin to this day does not have ANY "members" = decentralized. Members = the opposite.
And it turns out I was right, bitcoin.com exposes the ponzi with hordes of evidence:
https://news.bitcoin.com/beware-definitive-onecoin-ponzi/

How do I break it to this fella? I guess I can't really Sad
He along with many others is drinking the kool-aid until the ship sinks.

Forgive me for being honest, those who still disagree with me.
Please comment your thoughts, if any. Cheers to all my fellow Bitcoiners! VIVA LA REVOLUTION!

I don`t trust even the more popular altcoins.

Some people say that altcoins have more advantages than btc,but i still don`t believe this.

Every new crypto currency is a potential scam.Bitcoin is proven to be legit.

I knew from the start that onecoin is a scam since it doesn't exist on exchanges and on list of altcoins. That onecoin spams thru my timeline and someone invited me, at first sight I knew it's a scam coin too much value on such coin that doesn't exist. For OP., you already do your part, don't get worried if she/he experience loss, let it charge to experience.

There is nothing you can do about it!

I have a friend that is going mad with byxpress coin named mcoin

i told him is a scam and it doesn't have anything to do with crypto .... even went to a presentation and told urkel or what his name is (the creator of mcoin, btc community knows him) that i think it's a scam coin and why don't we have access to blockexplorer and other things and why we can't mine the coin with pc and we have to buy hardware from them .... and they trowed me out from the conference ...

onecoin, mcoin, swisscoin all are coins that have nothing to do with crypto .... they are using BTC to advertise themselves and try to convince people that they are the next BTC .... I really don't understand why people invest in shit like that so much money ......
They are some sort of MLM/PONZI. But it seems people are really stupid.

I have heard a lot of bad reviews about ONECOIN and many were trying to spam my wife on Facebook to join because invests in things but she didn't give in to their relentless spamming. I think there is something fishy with this company also.

It is sad how much scamming goes on not just in crypto but the world in general.

The world is changing a lot, it started to change years ago. I don't know what makes people change so much, everybody looks like going crazy. My grandparents always told me when I was a little kid that we're going to be living in a bad world, and the worst times. I don't know how they knew it, but it's hapening and it's kind of scary.

I'm sorry your friend lost his money but on the other hand I must say that I pretty much agree with the top comment after the article: "Gotta say, my sympathy for anyone who loses money in OneCoin is zero. There are more than enough red flags & warnings."

Unfortunately people tend to ignore all the red flags when they are blinded by their greed.

I find onecoin and leocoin quite similar as leocoin is also spending so much in their promotion and works on MLM fassion, i laugh so much to one of my friend who forces me to invest in leocoin as he thinks leocoin is revolution and is better than bitcoin. But when i asked him about how to mine them he was like does cryptocoins can be mined or earned mining?? Shocked

Haha i laugh so much again, this all are shitcoin which works in MLM fashion and lure many early newbies to invest in promosing that they will have bitcoin like growth in near future, but all this are lies.

Just wait till burble burst but try and start preparing his mind for the worst in other to limit the effect. The onus is on every individual to do his own due diligence before investing his hard earned money into any scheme I learned the hard way because I was too impatient or too ambitious to make money which I won't fall for again. Experience is the best teacher they say. And one need to be wary of this get rich quick schemes with the minimum risk, its even worse than gambling... My 2 cents...

The words INVESTING and ONECOIN do not go together. The only word that goes together with onecoin is SCAM!

I only hope this whole story will not be used against BTC. But no need to worry, shit is used as a fertilizer

I search for one coin  after some people inviting me to join in one coin but I don't want to join because I see many negative feedback in this coin and we don't even know what is the real value of this coin right now.so if your friend earn profit with onecoin just let her what they want to do just always remind him that don't put all her money in that.

They say experience is the best teacher, if you wants to learn from his mistakes then let it hit him hard so that he can think straight; then again the saying goes " A dog returns to its own vomit" If you dont guide him and he still keeps making the same mistake just take all measures to stop him, even if it means blocking him from his own computer.

I was seeing this onecoin promoted a lot through facebook people. I see some people from Pakistani making a lot of posts about it, also people who use traffic exchanges. I knew it was a scam as I was not seeing a lot of support or good talk for it from here. I am glad people are starting to release the scams and not help them go any further.

Onecoin is a HUGE scheme. They are just taking the money and leaving the customers with nothing. I know friends who actually worked there. You don't even know what you are going to be working for at first. Then, you will find out finally - and it'll be too late, because you have already been part of it. So if you want to 'hurt' them in any possible way, you are actually doing it to yourself. STAY AWAY FROM IT!!!!!!! And from ANY 'get rich fast' schemes. Look up for Caritas, it was a Romanian ponzi scheme. When I lived in Austria, almost all the Romanian guys I knew killed themselves. They sold ALL they had, just EVERYTHING to get money to invest in this scheme. They were scammed, so they had $0 left. And they killed themselves........

Just stay away, guys. Don't do it..

Anyone before invest should research about the project, website or crypto coin, there are several ponzis made just to collect our bitcoin and this keeps being made all weeks, always stand with the oldest coins as doge, litecoin eth now and just some few more. Always follow the market the top trades of each altcoin is the best place to recover or make money.

It's his money, you have done enough it's up to him if he loses onecoin cannot sustain because it is a ponzi scheme and thrives from recruiting new members,he will find that out when he is not earning anymore,I think you're friend  do not the difference between a ponzi scheme and a crypto currency..
