I am definitely interested in seeing how they run.
Your right once the auction winners start posting about how they are running at home it will make it much more exciting.
Great job this was well run auction.
Thanks for the compliment.

Great job this was well run auction.

I also have to say that I was pretty impressed with how this ran.

I have no stake in this at all, but I have an eye on this company. Seems more legit than most, but I'm reserving final judgment until the auction winners receive their hardware.
Thanks for the compliment.
And we are very legit.
The company exist since 2004 and I am involved in BTC since 2011.
But sure, wait till you get the first confirmations of receiving the hardware.

I failed to realise that noon CET was 6am here *fail*

in any case, looks like the buyers got a fair price, I am not sure I would have bid much higher, definitely no more than 0.09BTC/GH
You realize that your maximum bid(5.4BTC) is way higher than the price of the DIY2 ?

whoops, missed a decimal point Smiley  meant 0.54/DIY2

^my understanding was that below my bid there were 4 bids at 0.28.

I made it simple and put one bid at 0.28 (makes maximum 5 at that price)
then bid [email protected].

This means 3 more can be bid on at 0.29, and then bids must go higher. (if im not mistaken)

Im willing to bid these towards the going rate of an antminer, basically balancing the benefit of power consumption against the drawback of running a USB host and having to run everything via a c/bfgminer instance. I just feel like the bidding will stagnate out well before friday night at the current speed
A cheap Raspberry Pi can run up to 20 boards, so the drawback of a USB host is not big.

Hope this auction can end sooner than friday night - the pricing is already at a very fair value IMO
FYI, 0.29BTC * us$667 = us$193.
Have a look at MegaBig site to see the price for 30 chips.
The normal price for a single DIY2 is us$731.
So to say that it is at a fair price is a bit odd.
I started this auction to get publicity, a loss is calculated in, but for this auction only.
The auction is set to end at Friday noon CET, not midnight.

This is my first forum auction I've participated in and I guess I should have asked up front, but if I've bid on 5 of the miners at a certain price but someone outbids me for 3 of them do I get the remaining 2 at my price or is my bid for 5 or nothing?

I asked Ben about these cases, and in this case - you would get the remaining 2 at your price (assuming no further bids).
There's some other pitfalls, but Ben will deal with them in the rare case they should occur Smiley
Thanks for answering and I will solve any issue that might arise to everybody's satisfaction.
(I have more than five boards in stock).

Ohh, ok cool.  Love the efficiency.  Would you mind if I sent you a PM?  I'd like to set up a standing order if these work out for me.
PMs are always welcome.
