Well when onions were 50cent then you only needed 25$ (i actually bought my first 100 for 600$) but you don't necessarily have to purchase it, you can enter weekly contests and giveaways too...wallpaper of the week alone gives a 100 onion reward so does the article of the week, or 50 onions for the meme of the week etc...
And if you join multiple airdrops you always get taht 3.5-4% on top of your already existing balance. So if you start with a 100 then you will have like 104 the first airdrop 108,16 at the second 112,5 at the third and so on...
The percentage you get it always the same for everyone, it may differ a bit week to week as more or less people join but everyone gets equal percentage. different amount, sure because people have different balances but the percentage you get is the same as others.
