Segwit is in the process of being activated to make the transactions a lot faster with reduced cost and less block size

Agree, the electrum wallet is pretty easy to handle and doesn't make one frustrated having to sync so frequently.

Indeed, the Non-DV version loads significantly faster than the full one. Would it be possible to make one version with a DV on/off switch during the start of the wallet?
