It's a cool gimmick for sure. As long as there is not way to store code (read: $Onions on it), it's just a pretty and fun thing.

If it would be possible to store $onions on it, then it could be cool as a present and such

I will meet up with the owner of the coin supplier next week wednesday... the first coins will have no actual onions on it and will just be a souvenir... I am also looking for a Founders edition coin, with an unique QR code per coin which will have actual onions loaded on them
