They have finished and released deepsend, took awhile though, but they got there in the end.
Now it depends on proposals from the community as to which way the coin will go.
I suggest checking on the community section of the website.

DeepOnion devs stopped BCT signature campaigns and removed the ID requirement from registration. I think they are only here for updates and to provide support for non-registered members.

There are some proposals where the devs are actually working. I´m not sure if the electrum wallet is a priority right now, but we´ll have one sooner or later.

QuickSync has zero effect on decentralization because if a single bit (not an exaggeration) is different, the generated hash will be different and the network will reject that wallet. You can try by using a text editor capable of editing large files to change one character (a single byte) from the downloaded QuickSync and then test if your wallet will be accepted by the network.

obszoenling (the dev of the feature) said It needs RAM about 2 times more than blockchain size.
