He is staking the full amount but your stake reward is determined by your block size. He made a video some time ago inwhich he showed everyone how to split your Onions into 250 size blocks. I was wondering if he is still doing that or if hes using larger sizes now.

Monster stake! My biggest was 3.5 Onions and I got it, or pretty close to it, twice within a couple hours. It was a great day!
