In our country gambling online is not actually a big deal as long as you are of legal age. Online Casinos might start to operate since the gambling operation is at a full stop due to the pandemic. I guess gambling operators will have no choice but to switch to online gambling if this will be the case. I don't think that this pandemic will end too soon in our country due to the poor health system and not to mention the citizens who are not following the directives of the lockdown.

If you are in crypto then I do not think anything can stop to gamble online which means legal and illegal does not matter much 🤪
Of course, if it is available with the crypto. Gamblers will play as they want every time without thinking of legal or illegal. but, if it is legalized, they will be easier and more opened to play, choosing the gambling sites as they want without strict regulation, moreover gambling sites that are not related to crypto use.

Everything about cryptocurrency isn't illegal in my country and sports betting isn't prohibited in the country.
Happy to know those, mate. Every country has their own rule and regulation that may be influenced by many conditions.
You're right. online gaming and gambling may become one of the ways that can help us avoid the covid-19. And this may become one of the points to consider for the future, when some virus or condition probably will happen again and we must concern on online activities only.

For all responses, I believe that every country will decide their best decision based on the condition and society in the country. Covid-19 may give the big influence to the gamblers and the industry. And as long as it is profitable and safe for the gamblers and industry, why not? Probably it needs to think about the regulation, and taxes probably?

1. No, it's illegal. But only these companies which have at least 1 physical gambling/betting shop may have online gambling website. So, they block all foreign websites like Bet365, Betfair and others. Though, you can use it easy just by changing DNS or using VPN.
And actually, there is no real physical casino in my country, all these "casinos" have just slots machines.
2. Offcourse yes, especially if physical gambling is allowed in that country, I don't see any reasons why they shouldn't allow it online. But in my country, I don't expect any changes because physical betting/gambling isn't popular anymore, everything is online for long time already.
3. New crypto gambling websites opens every month. But almost all these websites is registered somewhere in offshore country to avoid taxes and regulations. It's their main difference from fiat sportsbooks. It would be interesting to see major fiat sportsbook starting to accept crypto...

As far as I know, there's no update regarding online sports betting here in our country. Well, legitimate online betting sites are still blocked in our country and this hasn't changed much with/wihtout Covid19. Land-based casinos are still closed up-to-this date and there's a high chance that they won't come back in the next 15 days. The only change that I recently noticed is that more and more people from my country learned how to avoid this restrictions and many of them used cryptocurrency to getaway with their betting/gambling itch.

1. What's about in your country? Are online gambling and sports betting legal?
2. Is there any possibility that this prediction will really occur, more and more countries are legalizing online gaming/gambling and mobile sports betting?
3. How is it related to online gambling that uses cryptocurrency as one of the transactions manners? Will there more and more sites offer online gambling like this?

1) Gambling and betting is free, both physically and online, as the country I live in earns most of the income from gambling and betting. Of course, there are also illegal bets via some websites, but as I mentioned, there are online gambling and betting services that provide government leave. In fact, some physically serving businesses have started to provide services online.
2) Yes, this is possible because the quarantine process not only closed people home, it also taught us that many things can be done online. For this reason, we will see that these services will gradually become legal in countries where online gambling and betting services are not legal. (Most likely it will be outside of Muslim countries.)
3) Due to the nature and vision of cryptocurrencies, it is not possible for websites that will provide official and legal services to accept payments with cryptocurrencies, but there is such a possibility if an identity-approved membership system or similar solution is produced.

Where I live now offline gambling is totally closed and the online one is being redirected to the only online gambling site which is owned by a big of the government.Every other domain is blocked from the ISP-s in the country.

However all of the people are using VPN to access bet365 which is the most used site in the country.I don’t think Covid will change things.

The situation calls for legalization of online gambling.

Government funds in most countries are almost depleted and they needed the economy to recover asap. I think online gambling platforms can help provide the much needed funds and it would be impractical for the government if they aren't going to allow and regulate them provided they apply for license to operate.

As the world transitions to the new normal, I think people all types of gamblers would still be wary going to crowded areas like casinos.

Those crypto gambling sites will choose to be anonymous because of the huge taxes if they want to legalized their activities. some other governments put some unnecessary payments on them that will make their earnings scarce a big percentage different than before. There will be no changes after this lockdown, trust me they will choose to changes the name of their site rather than letting the government get their hands on their gambling activities.

Everything about cryptocurrency isn't illegal in my country and sport betting aren't prohibited in the country. Currently, the country is still on the lockdown and many sport betting centres have already been opening for some sort gamblers in the area. Probably, the end of covid-19 will only add to the population that are going to join the gambling world, as I have already noticed new faces on one of my casinos. Believe me, some countries will legalize gambling and some may put up a restrictions for gamblers only to gamble online to avoid body contact and also to obey social distances. This prediction is likely to be positive if we're ready to fight against covid-19.

Well, when we are talking on cryptocurrency using for gambling I am sure the government did not have the power to control those gambling sites because it can work and operate unknowingly by the government. Perhaps the COVID-19 has a great impact on all businesses revenue including the gambling industry but this is not mean when all back to the normal government can allow businesses who did not pay tax. Perhaps, --if this online gaming and mobile sports betting will pay tax and fully registered or have a license to operate I think the government will allow them to operate a business.

If you are in crypto then I do not think anything can stop to gamble online which means legal and illegal does not matter much 🤪

But here is the think, for this Covid-19 situation many people are staying in home so the gamblers have no other way but to spend their gambling hours online. This creates a huge market for the online gambling industry of course.
That's why if too many people gamble online and the government can't hold them back either, then it's better for the government to regulate online gambling sites and then direct their people to gamble in those sites so that the online gambling sites their people visit are safe.

At least that's what they did to cryptocurrency and also drugs in several countries.

Covid-19 has a large impact on almost all sectors of life, including the gambling world. As we know, when countries do lockdowns, they also close various casinos and sports betting immediately. This is intended to minimize the Covid-19 contagion chain.

The closure, this becomes a nightmare. They are a dilemma. This is detrimental to the gaming or gambling industry, players, gamblers, and also the societies that get income from those. However, on the other hand, they also risk their health and even their lives if they still go to casino or sports betting. For this reason, online gambling and sports betting become ways to make deal with these.

Several executives and also consultants from the gaming industry also discussed in this regard, the possibility of the online gaming industry. One of them, John Pappas, also assumed the following:

Quote
"Pappas, the former executive director of the Poker Players Alliance, said he believes one good thing for the gaming industry that will come out of the coronavirus pandemic is the legal expansion of online gaming. He said industry leaders will need to educate lawmakers unfamiliar with legal internet gambling."

For information, so far, only several certain states that can access online casinos. Only around 3 states have legalized online casino and about 11 states authorize sports betting. As for online sports betting, only a few states allow the sportsbook online betting during the Coronavirus pandemic. While in other states, it may still be prohibited.

The questions:

Please feel free to share your ideas and opinion about this.
