It was the Bitcointalk forum that inspired us to create Bitcointalksearch.org - Bitcointalk is an excellent site that should be the default page for anybody dealing in cryptocurrency, since it is a virtual gold-mine of data. However, our experience and user feedback led us create our site; Bitcointalk's search is slow, and difficult to get the results you need, because you need to log in first to find anything useful - furthermore, there are rate limiters for their search functionality.
The aim of our project is to create a faster website that yields more results and faster without having to create an account and eliminate the need to log in - your personal data, therefore, will never be in jeopardy since we are not asking for any of your data and you don't need to provide them to use our site with all of its capabilities.
We created this website with the sole purpose of users being able to search quickly and efficiently in the field of cryptocurrency so they will have access to the latest and most accurate information and thereby assisting the crypto-community at large.

It depends on the use you are gonna do with your Bitcoins.
If you plan to hold them for a long period of time, the best thing is to download a desktop wallet like Electrum or Greenaddress and put them in a USB device. If you wanna trade and use your Bitcoins to buy online or offline maybe is better an online wallet like blockchain.info.
If you are not going to have much and you are going to use it,online wallet is ok
but if you want to keep it and your are going to have good amounts, desktop wallets
The both are nice, desktop wallet is in your computer and its seems maybe more safe but its only impression, online wallet in also good.
Its just a question of preferance. online wallets can be more anonymous, since you can create them using tor. it is harder to do that using desktop wallets It is not that hard. You can use the argument -onion= I'm new into crypto currency and was wondering which wallet I should use in terms of security. cold storage, aka a computer that you clean (format, rootkit removal etc), a fresh install, the wallet, encrypt the key, connect to the network, transfer from the source, disconnect. End. But I am a noob too, so there maybe better other ways, but online, you may be goxed:D. And to be goxed ain't cool!
Desktops wallets would offer a more secure wallet. Online wallets most of the time depend on a thrid party and is risky. But it is great for small amounts.

I prefer Zakir over Muhammed when mentioning me!
@Muhammed Zakir, i know what you mean. How about if you are using VPN as well to encrypt data will it offer more protection? What other steps can I take to improve security for the remote access method? Yes, it will improve security. But it is just better to avoid it! @ARadzi, yeah teamviewer is a good favourite like Muhammed Zakir said but there safety concerns as well. ~~MZ~~ i think its better to use an online wallet for example blockchain.info because its much faster then the desktop wallet the desktop wallet always needs to sync before it can work but i think a desktop wallet is much safer then the online wallet! Not necessarily. There are thin desktop wallets like Electrum that don't require you to download the full blockchain but just the block headers. Yeah, but most people only trust bitcoin-qt... i think its better to use an online wallet for example blockchain.info because its much faster then the desktop wallet the desktop wallet always needs to sync before it can work but i think a desktop wallet is much safer then the online wallet! Not necessarily. There are thin desktop wallets like Electrum that don't require you to download the full blockchain but just the block headers. I like online wallet like coinbase or blockchain as I don't have much bitcoins to be afraid of stealing. Agree, if you have a lot then desktop or cold storage is the way to go...

go with a desktop wallet.
Prefer online wallet but spread out a few online wallet so you won't lose everything...
Desktop wallet. Mostly because you're at the mercy of the the service provider if you use an online wallet. But you have to be careful about security and make sure to backup so you don't lose your coins.
I personnaly prefer desktop wallet like bitcoin core, you are not dependent of one site, you have your wallet on YOUR computer, I think this is an important advantage !

because its much faster then the desktop wallet the desktop wallet always needs to sync before it can work but i think a desktop wallet is much safer then the online wallet! its ok to keep small amounts in online wallets so that you can easily purchase stuff when away from home. But desktop wallet is a lot better. You can also setup remote access of your desktop wallet so you can always access it wherever there is an internet connection. online is too dodgy...even the most secure exchanges/wallets get hacked from time to time. Ahm, how to set up a remote access of my desktop wallet? shall I use some kind of software for it? @klintay : @ARadzi : You can use softwares such as Teamviewer but I suggest you not to set up your wallet in a way ~~MZ~~ @Muhammed Zakir, i know what you mean.
