@LoyceV

A workaround yeah, but it can be quite annoying.
Currently, I agree there is a 'problem' with the fact they make use of a payment processor, but I'm betting on the fact step by step they all start to use their own stuff. You have to admit it's currently not always easy for a company to deal with cryptocurrencies. I can think about their accounting, the laws, and many other things. When things will become easier and clear for them perhaps (I hope) they will start to become more independent.

It's true some of the payment processors can ask for a KYC verif' but since you mention buying a coupon (through LN, or not) and I believe you have Bitrefill & co in mind, you know they can ask too for a KYC verification (at their own discretion)

Yes that's how it was supposed to work. Why using a decentralized currency, if at the end point we need to use something centralized? Better to go back to fiat, we could even save some money.
At least, that's not how I see my crypto life. I don't want to deal with middlemen. I say this but I'm amoung the firsts to recommand websites like Coinsbee or Bitrefill, I know it's a bit hypocrit from me...

Even if a shop accepts Bitcoin directly, it goes through a very expensive payment provider (let's not name them but we all know they now the one that asks for KYC too). If I can buy a coupon through LN, it's actually cheaper than using the payment processor.
Not only cheaper, but also far more secure and better for my privacy than using the aforementioned unnamed payment processor, not to mention that by refusing to use them you aren't supporting their anti-bitcoin ethos, their attacks on privacy, their cooperation with blockchain analysis, their decision to freeze or reject some payments, and so on. I'd much rather use a reputable non-privacy invading coupon or gift card seller as the middle-man than use a bitcoin payment processor which actively works against everything bitcoin stands for. In fact, I flat out won't use this payment processor at all, meaning it's either gift card or I take my business elsewhere.

That's how it should work in the ecosystem: you accept BTC, I pay with BTC.
I completely agree. However, it usually works like this: I pay with BTC, a payment processor middleman accepts BTC on your behalf, you receive fiat. I'd love more merchants to start accepting bitcoin directly or with self hosted payment solutions such as BTCPay.

Why adding 1 or 2 middlemen (and maybe more in some cases) when the shop accepts bitcoin directly? It costs money if you use a 3rd party and it doesn't encourage the shops to add BTC as a payment means if finally, people go through another way to pay.

Some sites accept Bitcoin on their own, or LN through a cheap payment provider. Those are my favorite options, but unfortunately it's quite rare.

Not really.

That's how it should work in the ecosystem: you accept BTC, I pay with BTC. Not: I have Bitcoin but I need to crawl the web to find how I can spend my bitcoins.

Looking at the website the @OP linked, he isn't looking to buy medicines per se. The website he planned to use only sells naturopathic products. For which you don't need anything like a sick report. (the business is legal in Germany by the way)

Thank's for the Tipps. Good idea with the detour via the gift cards.
I hope that you will find a way to buy directly, but it is better to look for indirect ways to pay in bitcoin through gift cards, prepaid debit cards, or any third-party alternatives. You can also sell and buy bitcoins in traditional ways or pay someone in this forum and order for you.

Generally, in my country, it is not allowed to dispense any medical drugs except through a sick report in addition to identity data, and therefore payment in Bitcoin is impossible.

I tend not to want to buy from fraudulent pharmacies.
I come from Germany and am looking there. There are already more providers abroad, but the shipping costs are far too high. Customs clearance is also added.

But I have now found two online pharmacies where you can pay with Bitcoin online apo bitcoin.
I will try it..

does anyone know online pharmacies where you can already pay with Bitcoin?
What country are you looking for?

You can use bitcoin to buy gift cards for a number of pharmacies. Sites like Bitrefill have gift cards for CVS and Walmart, and Coinsbee have cards for Target, if you live in the US. I don't know of any offering cards for for Walgreens though. Otherwise, you can check out other countries or other gift card providers as needed: Gift cards providers

If you are looking for some unlicensed/illegal pharmacy, then as stated in the link that Loyce shared, then you are risking your coins and your health.

You can buy GPU cards with bitcoin because these products aren't regulated whereas buying medicine usually is. If you are just looking at over the counter products then try a general superstore that accepts bitcoin, the online pharmacies might sell fake medicine so you need to be wary of that

You may want to read up on rogue online pharmacies. This is one of the few businesses where I wouldn't want one that accepts Bitcoin.
