I can see it divided into several different groups of people and several different reasons for online vs. live and reasons for both.

For me online is a quick and cheap way to kill some time.
Even if I lived across the street from a casino that had live poker you are still looking a a time investment.
Go there, possibly wait for a table, cash out chips in the end (hopefully) leave go home.
This AM I played for ~30 minutes in the shorts and t-shirt I slept in while having my AM coffee while having the local news on in the background.

Online also tends to have MUCH lower limits.
Many online poker places I play start at 100 SAT ante some are even 10 or 1 so we are taking mostly under $0.25 a hand for the most part just to kill some time. Not a bad deal.

As with most gambling YMMV but for me although I do love playing in a live casino, there are advantages to online.

If I do have funds to play in a live casino, I'd go with it rather than playing online. In addition to what you have said about advantages of playing live because you could see their faces, the chances of cheating is much lower than when you are going to play online. The another advantage of playing casino live is you could socialize and make friends, it is not healthy to stay in your room all day sitting playing poker online.

The disadvantage of playing casino live is that you'll be exposed and your relatives might see you and they will start to nag you for playing in the casino.

In live casinos, you can see there face of course and take a hint of what sort of cards or power plays that will your opponent will use. In that case, you could think of the possible ways to defeat them or at least, minimize your losses. Card counting in live casinos is easier than playing online poker. Nevertheless, it will be all go down to the player's skill and not in the mode of the game.

If you started playing in a live casino you know the feel of the players and the atmosphere that accompanies each match, you feel the emotion but you know that you need to hide and so is the other person it's all about handling the pressures, you cannot find it in an online casino, you are playing as is, you will win because of luck and how you deal the card, but totally different when you are face to face with your opponent, so if you want excitement playing live can give you that.

Let me give a pretty nice comparison between both of them. Have you ever played chess? If you haven't then let me explain while playing chess on board in front of real opponent you have to sit in front of him eye to eye facing each other like you are fighting. Now, this things is a great psychological factor in thinking. Most of the players get pressurized on certain important moments and make many wrong moves while some are good at reading body languages so become cautious if their opponent sees happy. So strategies do change with age & mentality of your opponent while in online chess it's more or less like to play against a computer all you can see is 64 squares and 32 pieces.

Virtual world has given us access to doing everything from distances right at the comfort of our homes. But one thing it can never match is the feel of the reality and aura which a person creates with his physical presence. Playing against Magnus Carlsen(No. 1 chess player) on computer you won't feel much. But playing in reality against him and you wouldn't be able to get your head on board. This is true for almost every sport.

Yeah bluffing is really normal in Poker or other card games but also you can bluff them as well.trust me those bluffer?are afraid when they are being bluffed and this is according to my experiences coz I must admit I am a bluffer also lol

And this is where they do differ and some gamblers do really love to experience the thrill and on spot socialization with other poker players.You wont be an experienced one if you dont able to meet up these different person on the table.Ofcourse you will able to see those bluffs and all in action and as you experience this in the long run it will help you out as a better poker player where you do apply those into your own game style.Yes, it isnt really that easy but this is more enjoying and entertaining than with online ones.

Playig live poker lets you apply other factors when playing such as bluffing and intimidating your oppenent, unlike in online gambling where you can only intinidate by raising your bet. It is difficult to put a bluff or read if your enemy is bluffing in online gambling. I think real life poker is more exciting since you play personally with other players and I think it is more fun.

most of card games becomes more challenging in real casinos or even in other bet place than online.because in live playing you can feel the competition and the reactions of every players is indeed{but i knew some gamblers that experts in hiding their emotions so you cannot detect their next actions}yet its more entertaining when you have opponents surrounding you while in online is so boring}

Whether live or online, I still can't hide my emotions while playing poker. When you see your opponents face, they often gives hint or something about their cards especially if they are amateurs. I've watch people with incredible poker skills and it is vert different compare to online gambling. But I prefer online poker more because I value anonymity so I can enjoy the game more.

As a gambler, i prefer online casino rather than live casino because in online casino you can play inside or outside your home, as long you have an internet connection and a computer for you to be able to play. While in live casino, you need to drive yourself to the casino for you to play which is hassle. But both of them will still give you a great gambling experience whenever you are playing in live casino or online casino.

These are the main differences between online and offline ones where there are pros and cons into each side.
When you do play poker on a casino physically you can really distinguished your opponents faces which can really be
used into your hand decision making which you cant possibly done on online but talking about basic principles on how to
play then they are all just the same.

I am more comfortable and confident doing it online than in an actual casino. Well, one of the reasons is that people like you could accurately read my reactions and emotions, and probably could also create a corresponding assessment on my cards' strength. If I share the table with friends only, I don't mind playing with it. But if I share it with gamblers I do not know, and whose poker skills I could not simply estimate, I would be more conscious and defensive, which might result to some gestures they could easily interpret.

It depends on your preferences or where you seem to be comfortable and confident at. Online casino is more for convenience and to bring casino and gambling to you wherever you at. While live casino, is for experience I guess... As for me, I would go to live casino to add experiences and to feel what it feels playing in reality and not only virtually. But if you prefer convenience and easier, then online is better for you.
