Are you promoting this exchange indirectly or did anyone actually point you to this exchange?
It's more that he's not going to reply back and that proves that he probably owns this little exchange and he's shilling it easily.

This is the most likely scenario.
There are no single reviews on their Trustpilot page https://www.trustpilot.com/review/onyxchange.com (maybe after this he will buy a few 5 star reviews)
They wear the Bestchange partner logo on their home page although they are not official partners with Bestchange. They may be in the process of approving the listing on this platform but judging by the web archive from 29 April 2021, it has been going on for quite a long time.
So, it is not going to be surprising if Bestchange will have them on their listings as well. Most of us here aren't going to be tired with these all of a sudden encounters of these websites that they're going to mention having one post for their newbie accounts and then says that they've just been amused to see it. I guess this is going to be a form of entertainment for some readers but I wish that many wouldn't be gullible based on the descriptions and stories that they've made.

LOL! You googled it and it seemed legit? How so? What did you find after searching about it that made you think that it is legit? There's actually not much that Google would tell you about it. It is pretty much unknown.

Its Trustpilot record is even zero. Not a single user of the platform has ever reviewed it. What's interesting, however, is how it boasts on its very home page of an excellent 5-star rating on Trustpilot. LOL! This alone tells me that this exchange is the exact opposite of legit.

Also, your account here is interesting. You're a newbie. This is your first post and it's a question about an unknown exchange. But the account has been in existence for almost 5 years.

It's more that he's not going to reply back and that proves that he probably owns this little exchange and he's shilling it easily. People that does this probably don't think that people here can't figure it out that they're part of the actual company. As I've checked and tried to put some conversion. This how it goes;

Code:
USD -  Max: $141.53
PMUSD -  Max: $236.39
USD - Max: $77.64

This means that any conversion is only at the maximum of those numbers and this isn't ideal for the big trades. Even with small amounts, I bet that no one's going to try to exchange here unless paid to do so.

I can't believe they said that but in trying to justify it because they are a legal platform they mentioned

Quote
Yes, sudden lags in transaction times, exchange rate fluctuations and other technical difficulties often make users suspicious of crypto scam. Still, it is both important and relieving to remember such difficulties are always temporary and do not mean that the exchange in question does not provide trustworthy financial services

This means that there may be a delay in exchange rates or a delay in receipt due to technical problems, but do not worry, your money is safe. Are they serious? Such a quote is something reassuring.
The more you dig deeper, the more you will find that everything on this exchange tells you that it is a scam.

Hi guys

today I wanted to convert my btc to other asset, one of my friend recommended onyxchange.com
He is saying that their service simple and fast.

I’ve googled it and it’s seems legit what do you think?

Let me guess... A friend you met online suggested the exchange to you. If I'm right then you need to be careful of such person, he's likely a scammer.

I don't need to check if it's actually fake or not. If you haven't send out your coin yet good for you. This is the list of 50 centralized exchanges by coinmarketcap and their trust score, you can make a pick from there. If you're avoiding CEXs because of KYC, then you can go for bisq.network or Agoradesk.

How do you trust an exchanger that barely has any online presence yet there are so many other popular options out there. For example, you get some bestchange.com
1. Their telegram channel has only 2 subscribers as of now - https://t.me/onyxchange
2. The Twitter account which was registered in April 2021 has only one follower and 4 tweets  - https://twitter.com/onyxchange
3. They have no official partnership with bestchange, but they put their logo on their site, perhaps to lure people.

Is this the kind of service you want to put your money in?

Are you promoting this exchange indirectly or did anyone actually point you to this exchange? People sometimes come here and make topics like they are asking questions, when they are just trying to promote or shill for a project or company.

By the way, if you are looking for a list of exchanges to trade your BTC, look here: https://kycnot.me/?type=exchange

I checked the site myself, does not bring any confidence for me.

I wonder who this "friend" of yours is and whether it was just some telegram rando spamming all members of a group with the same exchange link and you took them as friend? Huh

Still, there are so many legit exchanges out there, use the ones which are used by people from your country without hassle, dont go for obscure exchanges because scams are way common than you can guess.

What exactly makes you believe that it is a legit exchange? The fact that its completely unknown, the fact that it can't be found on CMC/Coingecko (just because exchange is listed there doesn't mean its legit, but not being listed there at all is a mjor red flag), the fact that they are totally inactive on their social media accounts, lack of info about the exchange itself etc?

With that being said, why would you even use a totally obscure exchange when there are plenty of legit options, both KYC and non KYC?

Why don't you ask your friend to do the exchange on this website himself and then you reimburse him in BTCGrin
Or, or, way better, why didn't you come here and ask for a reputable exchange in the first place?

Doesn't look trustworthy to me, honestly...

When a website has a page about itself like this one, you really start getting worried!

I'm not sure what did you find when you googled but there's nothing from what I can see... for instance, they linked a trustpilot page and it's empty, the same goes for their socials as well. Another thing that bothered me is how there's a bestchange logo at the footer but they're not on bestchange's exchangers list, see: https://www.bestchange.com/list.html

To sum it up, I wouldn't risk it. If you're looking for an instant exchange, there are reputable services out there like exch, see thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/exch-instant-exchange-btc-ln-xmr-ltc-eth-erc20-577207

About your friend, are they your actual friend or someone who randomly slid into your DMs? cause scam DMs are pretty rampant.
