As promised the new client has been updated with the latest checkpoints to ensure the network is secure for the next stage of bytecoin development. We have now finished adding in merged mining to bytecoin thanks to the help of DoubleC's work on bitcoin merged mining.

Currently there are no public pools running merged mining compatible chains although we are waiting to get hold of a debian based vps to get one up. The merged mining client is currently in beta testing stages and will be released to the public when this is complete. For anyone interested please pm me for a copy

Also please could you donate whatever you can to the BTE dev fund  so we can encourage further adoption to other sites

BTE: 8dyyfkeNF3529VLqRbRKfZ4kV1zf7sK1Vw
BTC: 1Dd18fCRCFztoY1jGFPq7QTmpXSNS8AWck
LTC:  LbMwmQbyYrfJ5ZyRGFhizPjd98C1ct1ugu

If you do donate please could you post in here how much and what address so we can add it to the public ledger

EDIT: we now have a vps to begin the next stage of the merged mining program. Anyone here who is interested in a pool that will allow merged mining of various sha based coins please pm me or add me on skype a4m3db0d1w4l4

To merge mine here is our initial thoughts. It will likely be a p2pool or standard mmcfe/pushpool/stratum based implementation or one of each.

Miners will get auto payouts of BTC

Around once a day or 2 we will send users the rest of their payments from merged mined coins based on their chosen option which will be:
a) conversion of all apart from BTE to BTC then sent to user
b) sending of each individual coin to the users address for each coin
c) a mix and match between conversion and sending to the users address's
