I work in a small business , so earlier this month I talk to my boss about the idea of introducing bitcoin as a means of payment in our work, I gave him so articles to read on about bitcoin and how it works , after much explanation he came to an agreement to introduce bitcoin into the business for  the Christmas period and if it works out he will accept it.
We open a wallet and we are open for business and now accepting Crypto payment.

Its a great initiative from your side , and for your boss to accept it shows that you guys are receptive and open-minded peps Cheesy .
but then  you should know that you guys will be getting payment in crypto and not in fixed currency , as in your salary would be 0.004BTC not $100 ,
so now you guys have salary depending on the value of bitcoins , now since its ATH now it would certainly fall at some time , what do you guys plan for that?.
would you guys still continue to use BTC even if it falls?

for  the Christmas period

well it would certainly work well now because the value is all time highest but salaries would be set according to this value so what if BTC fall ?

payment on your work .  are you a worker and wants to get paid in btc ? but why he will need to wait and see if it works , or maybe some of your co workers wont agree that they are going to get paid with btc .

you should also tell your co workers on how btc work if they didnt knew it yet not just your boss , you could increase your chance that everyone will agree and your boss will only pay btc by the time of your working period

but first tell him that you need more time for everyone else to understand btc properly , he need to extend the trial time not only for christmas

This may happen because you clearly says "Small business" as your boss would love listening in the drama and proposition of Employee ,but this is not the scenario in big businesses in which there is no direct access the common employee to the bosses.

But you did a great Job here mate, you are one of the best example why cryptocurrency will have good future.

because in your very little way are contributing to the community ,not like most of the people here that continuously shouting for adoption but doing nothing .

Unless your business are being understand by the clients of your business, that may work out. There is still few people who really understand what bitcoin is. In my country there is a platform that allows you to buy any product using Bitcoin, but the price of the products are not in bitcoin. Clients will pay based on the current price in the market. But making that allows your company to gain more volume of Bitcoin and if the price really get high, you'll profit a lot.

It’s quite a good idea because by doing that you’re helping to promote the use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, although I’m a bit worried about one thing and that’s whether your boss is aware of the nature of Bitcoin, that it is volatile? That’s another thing you have to educate him on, he needs to be aware of it. From the way you have talked about this, it seems he doesn’t know much or anything at all about it, since you said you had to refer him to some articles to know about it. So he needs very well about it and know how he’s going to handle the money that’s coming in through cryptocurrency. By the way, good luck to you guys.

You did a good job convincing your boss. He/she is open to adopt bitcoin as payment for his/her employees and thats a good start not only for him but for others as well to become aware little by little about bitcoin or crypto in general.

Its a good timing because the price is increasing however its a must for them to understand the volatility to not get surprise once the value turn down, its inevitable.

thanks.

This is a very nice and welcoming news for the entire crypto space and no matter how small the business is, what matters is that a big step towards the future has been taken and gradually people within that area and location will be able to understand what Bitcoin is and hence getting more associated with it. However, I would like to add that you always educate your boss more on all that revolves around Bitcoin, the risks and so on, because you know that, with the good status of the market nowadays many people will be happy to join up but when the other side comes to play, that's when we will know those who understands everything about the crypto space, therefore always be ready to explain so as to clear this doubt and educate him even more. All the best.

You did a very good job by convincing your boss to accept Bitcoin as payment for your shop. this is really a valuable contribution in bitcoin's mass adoption movement. BTW. what kind of business that is and how did it went then? did people used bitcoin for shopping in Christmas day?
I hope it worked well and your boss hopefully makes bitcoin a permanent payment option for the customers.

That's amazing!!! But the question is that will you hesitate when paying with cryptocurrencies? Like someone who bought a pizza with 1000 bitcoins? How would you feel when you buy a drink with 0.0021 bitcoin at its price of $20,000 but the next day bitcoin rises to 25000$...regretful, right?
Just like how some gambling site did theseday by converting their user deposit into USD. The price of the goods or services provided in the shop will be estimated in USD not in BTC which will somehow affect the budget of their customer so theres no reason to be regret.

I hope that you use 3rd party payment services to automatically convert the BTC payment into Fiat if you want to adapt the use of BTC for the long run. The BTC price is not stable and the current price is near the current ATH, Your business might suffer loss in case price correction occur. I'm concern on profitability of your business so I suggest to use a safe to incorporate BTC to your business payment system.
Apparently, the shop offers physical sells to their customers not online so i don't think 3rd third automated payment is a good decision since it was said to be a small.

Nice to hear btc adoptions started even from small businesses. You made a good decision introducing new payment systems, it may actually boost your sales and may even contribute to the awareness of cryptocurrency.

That's also my dream, putting my own business and integrate that new payment system because there are also increasing percentage in our country of users that has a bitcoin.
It will not be a good practice in the long run, as a business owner, if you are giving the salary at bitcoin and at a given price point, you will eventually hit a roadblock where you can't afford to pay for the salary because the prices, it will be a good thing for the employees because the salary can go up after payday. This won't be a problem for businesses that are on retail or product selling because they can integrate bitcoin in their payment system.

Amazing! I like this! Bitcoin can be promoted even by what we say or ask. By the way, why don't you give us details on what goods or services that the company offers... If it's online, maybe some people will want them, and ready to pay with Bitcoin already.

But then, don't just tell him the advantages only. Tell him the disadvantages before he finds out, so he can understand what he's dealing with (it's not just about reading articles; there's more to it), and so he doesn't misunderstand it, maybe get vexed, and get you fired for bringing the idea.

Surprised that your boss considers accepting bitcoin payment after just a brief explanation by you and referring to some articles about what bitcoin is. How long does the convincing period last? Anyway, a good decision and hope that your boss really knows what he's doing.

Is everything will be manual or the company will use a third-party program to convert any BTC payment in real-time?

Adding bitcoin as one of the payment methods is also a form of spreading awareness to the community. Out of curiosity, there's a chance that people might want to try how to send a payment using bitcoin.

Its very timely because the market seem to be great. Accepting BTC in business at the right time is like hitting two birds with one stone. You're making the business profit thru currency exchange and also the business earns a community that will potentially be customers.

You just let the community learn the business, a quick search and you can find threads in the forum with list of companies accepting bitcoin.

A good move, not because it's "bitcoin" but adding another payment method to any business is a form of convenience to customers and clients.

What do you mean anyway for integrating bitcoin for the Christmas period? The test will only run within that period?

I doubt there's a good result instantly for that duration period.

It's not easy to persuade business owners to start taking in some processes that are completely alien to them, especially if not everyone is doing it. Your boss might be the adventurous type of businessman that knows where opportunities rest, and knows when to take some gambles. Not much are into risking their potential profits just for something that is completely unproven, and that is relatively unused in the market right now as a form of payment. If all goes well, your boss would surely thank you for letting him know about bitcoin. That's a lot of potential profits in the future if a lot of people started paying in the cryptocurrency.

It would also be nice to know what type of business does your boss have, or what kind of service/goods are you guys related to.

Congratulations on convincing your boss to accept bitcoin as payment. I hope that bitcoin won't get a correction after your agreement date so that you can continue your bitcoin payment into the business. I don't know if your boss knows the risk of having crypto payment in the business especially in this season where bitcoin is prone to a price correction.

Also, try to tell your boss to add a Third-party service if your boss decided to stick with accepting crypto payments.
