From what I can tell it is mostly a driver issue. Most successful miners are running the 16.40 or somewhere close to that but not earlier. I have asked around a couple forums and this seems to be the "catalyst" pun intended. My cards will not work with anything past 15.20 so for now I'm screwed but hopefully soon i guess.

DUMMY QUESTION :

I got the file and assure it works .. my rx470 is getting about 18-20. Question is how on earth do i get a wallet where i have '0' knowledge on ubuntu?

https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/guides/how-to-mine-zcash/

1. download Ubuntu .iso image
2. download Oracle VM VirtualBox
3. Run Ubuntu in a windows virtual box (p.s. make sure you have virtualization enabled in your machine's BIOS.
4. Follow the directions in this page:

I want to report my tersting:

Windows10 64bits
2x RX480 ref 8Gb and 2x RX470 8GB Nitro

Ran the 0.2.1 version.

zcashgpuclient.exe - no crash. Each cards getting around 19.x to 20.x

zcashgpuclient_silentarmy.exe - Crashed.

Yep that's what happened to me. My setup's pretty similar (Windows 10 64 bit) and am running the 0.2.1 non SilentArmy version and not getting any crashes and my readings are similar to yours.

Same here - 2 470 ref, 3 470 nitro 8gb, windows 7 x64 and 16.10.1 drivers.

So, if I launch this software, and it doesn't crash, and all 5 of my GPUs are reporting SOLS readings, does that pretty much mean that it's working? Seems too easy to be honest lol I'm running a Windows 10 machine with three RX480s and two RX470s. My GPUs are each reading between 14.7 to 17.8 SOLS.

Which words did you switch?

name = "worker_name";

# Platform:
#  "AMD": AMD GCN cards
#  "nvidia": NVidia Maxwell cards
platform = "AMD";

I can recommend to try Catalyst 16.7.2 on Win7 64 and Windows 10 for silent army kernel. Remove all *.bin files before launch a miner.

Unfortunately with modded BIOS, can't run that old of driver.  Can you get this working with 16.9.x?

Guys, Just got it working on Win 10, I wrote "AMD" platform instead of "amd", don't use capital letters

we are having trouble with "Silentarmy version" not regular..

Do you have the link for that solver please?
