Grats on getting one! I was excited to see your post as I have plans to get a few PI’s as soon as I can. In the long term I may hook up a few BFL singles to a PI and use that to mine.

damn! I was just looking around at where to find one. I want to get one that I can run with my BFL single, worried about the fan on that thing... might want to just stick it in the closet or something out of the way.

You cant, unless there is some sort of crazy usb to pci-e device =) I'm pretty sure the use for these with mining would be as a host for FPGAs or maybe to run monitoring on a farm. You could probably also run P2Pool on this if you wanted to.

Raspberry PI alone will not hit 1MH/s.
I think OP means to connect a GPU or FGPA to it. Mining on it's own processor would of course be a waste of time and money and silicone!

It might be nice as a "command + control server" for FPGAs or a small in-house pool, I doubt there's any use as dedicated miner though.
Yes, that was my plan, might look into using it for remote reboot of rigs aswell

Don't forget that the memory sits right on top of the processor. One or both could easily burn out quickly.
