Where do you get the link? email? PM? and who is the sender? By looking into the english language they used, i guess it is a phising email and you got phised. There is no way admin would use such an incomplete english and missing some words.

there are ton's of accounts whome got hacked, mine aswell, I have richlist addresses to my hacked name yet not btc addy posted, trying your route

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2206593.new#new ,, if anyone can give advice

Good luck man, I know it is a seriously shit feeling.

Its very alarming that so many account in bitcointalk got hacked by anybody. How can we avoid that? by changing pass everyweek?

I don't know, but it is better than being hacked and losing your account.

my account also has been updated with some deeponion shit. Posting random pokemon and football rubbish...

my original account is boy2k - https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/boy2k-190148

Tried reaching out to mods... no reply.

Can't update my password or reset to my email as they have been changed. Also they put a deeponion address in the BTC field to stop any recovery.

That is tough man, I know it might sound strange but have you tried contacting the person in control of your account? If the hacker has sold the account to another person they might be a decent person and return your account to you (That's what happened to me) either way they won't have access to it forever as it doesn't belong to them. if you can prove it is yours and my guess eventually when the mods have time it will be frozen, but they must be really busy because this forum is huge.

It seems this problem isn't going to go away any time soon and is only going to get worse as higher ranked accounts become more in demand. Removing signatures from ranks will stop this behaviour instantly and is the only way to stop farming and account sales. Scammers must be making a fortune hacking accounts just to instantly sell them to sig spammers. There's always going to be a market for accounts as long as signature campaigns are here so instead of giving their money to scammers it should go to the forum. It win win and the only people that lose out here are shitposting account farmers and hackers.

Terminated.
He has returned my account, does anyone think he is telling the truth?
Maybe.

If he is innocent I will send him what he paid for it as he is an innocent guy and I don't mind giving him the money, I just don't want to give the scammer money..
He is, in no way, innocent. He is almost as guilty as the person who is selling stolen accounts. Read the law.

Also, don't pay him.  He probably won't give your account back anyway.

Hi. I'm not a scammer. And I hope I prove it to NutMasterTardd2 via PM. I've just bought this account to participate at bounty. Sorry me for this situation.

Unbelievable, As soon as BitcoinTalk checks your IP addresses they will know that you are not the original account owner, how did you even come to owning this account?

I've just bought it, unfortunately(((

where from?

I really don't know if you are or not, but I am not willing to send you any BTC for my own account back.. Especially if you are the scammer. If you are innocent in all of this I may pay you back what you paid for it as I feel bad the bastard got the both of us.. I'm not going to do anything until I know you are genuine.

Ok. I will give your account back first. See details at PM. I'm really regret about this all.

You bought stolen goods.  You need to do the right thing and return the stolen goods to their rightful owner and accept that you'll lose money.
