its sha256, not scrypt.
sha256 diff 50 is equivalent to scrypt diff 0.000762939453125

incorrect. starting diff is set at 20 by default. its exponentional. for example, starting diff of 30 = 0.25

Oh, I guess I should have make my research better, the 65536 (2^16) multiplier is just a cgminer notation.

Is the genesis still hashing ? Smiley

lol yep, still slower than shit

A p2pool at this stage is only really for scrypt coins. P2pool doesn't really work well with ASICs such as avalons arm...I have no problem with a p2pool as I've set many up but its only useful for GPUs or CPUs

Try p2pool 13.3 for ASICs. The BTC p2pool quickly increased over 4x last I checked (2-3 weeks ago) after they added ASIC support.

5000 kHash = 5MHash, so if minerapia above is correct it shouldn't take too long, or am i missing something?

Starting diff. Average coin of say .00015 starting diff takes me about 5-20 minutes. Starting diff is like 10000 times this

P2pool is useless, an eloipool setup is for the pro's and that's what will be released with the coin

why you say so?
is centralized pool better for everyone? even very far away(geographically)?
simply i do not agree.

or explain why eloipool is cosidered by you as "Pro" pool after you made so many p2pool mods.
i am pool operator and i am really interested.

i think for such a special coin the p2pool modification would be and hell so therefore you go eloi :-) and thats a "Pro" apporoach :-D no i am joking...

A p2pool at this stage is only really for scrypt coins. P2pool doesn't really work well with ASICs such as avalons arm. Eloipool although centralised slightly is highly efficient. Once my pools up I'll be offering eloipool setups with a frontend for 2btc to reduce centralisation and to recover the costs of getting eloipool modified. I have no problem with a p2pool as I've set many up but its only useful for GPUs or CPUs

So times you estimate by 200 and by 50

I think the problem is the genesis block can only be mined by the slow built in miner, right?
edit: Nevermind, 1MHash is not a lot for SHA-256, silly me.

Correct and they average 5000 khs
