I like them both equally TBH, I've just been dealing with HA for much longer so I approached them first and they offered me a good deal IMO.

BTW, all buyers of my physicals are now well in profit, including most of this last recent offering.

Cryptocurrency

The auction included a selection of nine Casascius brass "Casacius" from the Otoh Collection of Physical Cryptocurrency.

Leading the collection was a Casascius brass "Casacius" Loaded (Unredeemed) 1 Bitcoin (BTC) 2011 MS66 NGC that ended at $84,000. Loaded in 2011, it is an immensely popular type, owing to the fact that this issue represented the first funded physical Bitcoins ever produced. The "error" on the coin refers to the spelling mistake on the hologram incorrectly written as CASACIUS, which was corrected in subsequent series.

Five other bitcoins, including a highly original Casascius Series 1 Bitcoin MS 65 NGC and a 2013 Casascius 1 Bitcoin 2013 MS67 PCGS, each brought $72,000.

Complete results can be found at HA.com/3119.

Do you prefer HA to stack bowers? Why? Just curious thank you

Cool to see an LTC acrylic in there as well. Wink

What did it sell for ?

$960 with the premium:

Thanks for the info MJ  Smiley

Just for the record, I bought it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5395252.0;all
Around $51k - $52k/BTC at the time I believe, so it was a bit of a steal over two years later upon resale, probably one that I should have hung onto, but still nice to get as much of the collection out there and into catalogues anyway

Hi ChiBitCTy

I wanted to get the check but Bobby absolutely insisted on it so really nice of him indeed, my main aim is to get as many of my coins Etc. 'Otoh Collection' slabbed for posterity, which Heritage do for me and everything is now consigned with them, expect some will be at a low price point.

Really liked your collection linked, never seen those before, very nice.

Excited for the November few coins in the pre-US election few days, and the December Hong Kong few ones as well with things hot-ing up there, but mostly for the larger offering in January with lots of never before seen at auction goodies, including many from BTCC.

Best, Otoh

OTOH I enjoyed your conf talk. You’ve had one incredible life so far to say the least. Btw hope anon picked up the dinner tab, too big a financial burden between the 3 of you he interviewed  Smiley

Btw if you’d like to sell anything on the side, I’ve been after a Cas LTC acrylic for forever. Also interested in Lealana King Ks.  (Plus anything super rare, even if low value, if you have/ unloading stuff like that too. For example, stuff I have I doubt most collectors know exist (not that my collection is anything special) https://imgur.com/a/VxIh1qP

Cheers. Glad they are going well so far !

It went for $55.2K

I didn't get to follow the last auction. How much did the 1000BTC Gold Casascius go for?

this will be a nice sale for these 1.0 and 0.5 btc Cas coins, im looking forward to watching the bidding being the offered amount of coins is so much lower then the other two auctions, I wonder if the supply and demand laws will kick in on Nov sale..  good luck to all and thank you Otoh for your collection offerings =)

It sold 100% which surprised me actually, so Heritage made a good selection and also got it right quantity wise for this offering from all of the coins that they're holding for me, also that day was a bit of a local low price wise so probably that may have also helped (no idea really), the spot and guaranteed price from Coinbase 45 mins before the sale was $57,190.39/BTC & I also split the 20% buyer's premium with them, I think that there's a good collectors market developing now for offerings on main stream auctions.

The next, part III, will be coming along in either November or January, I'm leaving it up to them to choose, Nov would be interesting with the US election that month.

I had some good feedback from some of the buyers, including requests to buy from ppl who'd missed the auction, as did Heritage, so a few of the unsold ones from the part I sale were snapped up as well.

I've asked Heritage to make a nice little selection and send around six coins to an auction house in the UK in order to test the market there as well soon, as they'd had some inquiries from interested collectors based there.

Looking forward to part iii!
