if you want to get more knowledge of this forum I think what you are supposed to be doing is to continue to read everything especially in Bitcoin discussion session and the beginners and help session so that you understand the procedures of Bitcoin and if you want to know about investment then you go to trading session and also speculation that will make you to understand the method of investing in Bitcoin but some people don't bother to read across what other people has already written so I believe my Bitcoin platform here can make you to expand your knowledge if you pay attention to learn

A space that needs determination, will also be guided by quality information, from those that have seen what it takes to reach there...
I need to be guided on how to go about the right path, so I won't be left behind.

I started by gaining a little knowledge about this forum by putting it into daily study habits, if that will help...
It's really amazed me to be in this forum, but I really need a relevant help for me to cope as a newbie, move to the next level, how to creat good post and to be accounted for merits. All this are questions in me as a newbie.

I know some, out here are also starting this step like me, but all what we need is a guid to continue, it will be of a great deed if you will be available to help the newbies by reading this thread....

The forum is a cool place to study any part of cryptocurrency you want to know. All you need to do is obey the forum rules and regulations. That is what will make you stay here for a long time. Amy newbies came and went because they couldn’t abide by the rules and regulations. It will be good for you if you obey the rules. However, read other people's meaningful posts to learn more about bitcoin and other crypto currencies. Don’t plagiarise; it’s against the forum rules and regulations. If you are caught doing that, your account will be permanently banned.

However, creating meaningful content is what will make you move to the next level in the forum. Because you create meaningful posts, other members who see them will appreciate them by meriting the posts, so just keep your head up and read other people's content to create your own meaningful posts. You will move gradually.

Read. Spend time exploring the forum. Observe. A small research every now and then helps a lot. Study. It may seem much, but you start from the little things. Anyway, you mustn't mind exerting a little effort if you're truly interested.

Your first post is trying to stake an address. But you didn't even try to observe how the other users are doing it. Oftentimes, we do things wrong not because we are newbies and we need guidance but because we don't lift a finger to learn it ourselves. Other users are already guiding you and you didn't come back. You weren't able to come up with the right way of doing it.

I guess it's best to do things one at a time. Focus on a single task. After doing it right, you may proceed to another.

Patience and perseverance are key! You (OP of the thread) may not be able to get things right on the first try, but you will eventually succeed. In my opinion, trial and error is the best way to learn to do something, because without getting something wrong, you won't do it right or even better no matter the case.

I wouldn't say there is a right path, at least there is absolutely no just one of them. Be yourself, talk about what matters to you, explore new things in the sphere that drives your interests, and you will succeed.

Yes there would be a right path thru learnings and if newbies will be more eager to do more research then spend a lot of time to learn all the information's they are interested on then for sure that everything will be good in their side.

There are reputable forum members helping newbies to learn and they could check this thread created by @tranthidung titled Mega resources for newbies https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.64230160 since they can able to learn a lot of information since everything they asked is already here. So good for that man to spend some time to create that thread since this is useful to all newbies and for sure they can learn a lot of things in that thread.

Agreed. It looks promising and the work of this man shouldn't go in vain. If anybody wanted to become more aware and knowledgeable, they would definitely check it out. It also looks like a book, with different structured pages to see. I will definitely check something out in it that would interest me specifically.

Welcome to this forum mate. You can learn the rules about this forum first, and what you need to be a good user. There are many links recommended by other users here and you can follow these links and learn them slowly, no need to rush, just try to understand and start interacting on topics that you are interested and understand. And pay attention to your punctuation and words, because many beginners here don't know punctuation and confuse other users with their messy words. Hopefully you can increase your rank here and become a good user. Good luck to you.

Welcome onboard and if I'm to join the others, I'd say there's not much big deal to surviving here, just abide by the rules, know that it's a big crime to plagiarize, try and read more than you try to create threads and also be conversant with your local board as @Cryptoprenuerbrainboss suggested since there will help you grow quickly.
In every place, consistency is key to growth and it is important you understand that learning is a steady process and as such, when you receive criticism, that shouldn't be a reason for you to get discouraged and opt to leave this space because then you'd end up not gaining anything.

What you seek, you find, i don't know why is it difficult for some of the newbies in going through the expected procedures for them to established a learning ground and have information enough for whatever thing they are doing, than when they are new to something and rush over ahead in doing it, to later discover that they have done the wrong thing and have made mistakes, which they could have corrected the moment they realized they are making in lack of information on that same thing.

Nothing good pass to see a newbie focus on what exactly brought him to this place, but since you prove that you have already gained a little knowledge ABO this forum, I don’t think will find the forum so difficult like some newbie’s that will more than 3 months they will not know where to start but with this your little knowledge you can able to build yourself. I don’t have anything to give you I can only direct you to visit the only old thread and been read for you to know how the forum operates well.

Dedication, determination, etc are BS, this is just a forum so treat it like a forum not a money making platform.

Newbies can literally see atleast 5 similar threads in the first two pages of this section but they just go ahead and ask the same question again and again which shows that you're not reading anything and defeating the purpose of the forum.

I don't mean to be rude, if you really did this without realising then try to change it in the future.

What I always prefer to say to newbies like you is to find your local board that’s if you have an active local board because that’s supposed to be your first stepping stone to getting really inclined and acquainted with the forum and its activities and you can always feel at home at the local board and be guided directly by people from same region with you sharing similar interest.

Another thing is to read the pinned messages on every thread you come across and always remember that to make a quality and engaging post, then you should focus more on reading and gaining more forum knowledge on an issue before jumping to write on them.

As a newbie, always be open to criticism and be ready to take every correction given to you at every possible time.

It is actually very simple...

Do not simply post to rank up... just post to have fun and to learn more about Bitcoin. If you learn something new, share it with other people on the forum, if it is worth their time to read about it.

You can add quality posts to this forum, by simply doing proper research on the topics being discussed. Try to spot a new angle to the discussion that nobody else picked up in the thread... this will be rewarded, because most posts are just a "copy&paste" of the 100s of responses that were posted before.

In the end, you just need to have fun.. while you are learning more about Bitcoin.  Wink

It is very natural for someone who has just joined the forum to have several questions because this is due to limited knowledge about what is permitted and what is prohibited on the forum. Adopting the habit of always visiting forums when you have free time will really help you in developing your knowledge, always study something you need carefully so you can understand it correctly.

Several guides have been shared here, you can find what you want to look for by using the search field, just enter keywords to find what you want to look for. At first it feels a bit confusing and it seems difficult to understand how the forum works, but once you get used to visiting the forum consistently, you will feel this forum is the right place to start exploring new knowledge related to Bitcoin.

Associate more with your local board if you have one on the forum, you're most likely going to understand the forum better with them. As you get familiar with the forum then you can move on to the English board and explore the forum more. Avoid mistakes as a newbies because it might spoil everything for you. Take on challenges to learn so you can be of help to people on the forum. The forum is here for we to help ourselves, learn from each other and grown as a community. When you become helpful to the forum, you'll be rewarded with merit for your quality contributions.

There are many newbies that grew their account to their respective ranks and they were here before you and others are also going to come after you and be able to grow too therefore there's room for improvement for anyone that joins the forum irrespective of our knowledge on Bitcoin and other topics of interest to the forum. Just grown and let go of the mentality that you have to start earning immediately you join the forum. Focus on building your account and yourself and the privilege to earn will all be yours when the time is right.

It takes patience and perseverance to get something you want because forming consistency is not easy because we will be faced with boredom. The habit of reading will give birth to knowledge and we will understand much more about something we want to get. This forum is designed so perfectly and we can learn from each other to find out new things by discussing and when the interest in reading is greater, then the experience will also continue to increase.

Basically we need something to achieve success and knowing ourselves is a must so that we know where to start. No human being is born with the best ability if they do not try to learn and we should be able to do something consistently to get the desired success.

Learning is the only way to be able to still continually staying relevant on the forum and getting merited when the need for such arises. There's no better guide here than you personally been determined and dedicating time every day to going through the different boards on this forum where you can be sure to get the required knowledge that will get you relevance on the forum as much as you desire, on the beginners and help board you will find a whole lot of thread that will be really useful to helping you just make sure to take your time to go through them.

I believe others must have shared some Links for you to see, make good use of them and I believe sooner you understand better and have a better way to navigate the forum even much better.

Wish you well in the forum and I believe you will get to see things that will give you an understanding on the need for you to see the forum as a friendly community where everyone has the liberty to do exploits.

You are welcome to the forum. I was once in your position. I haven't leaned everything I need to know about the forum yet but I am way knowledgeable about it than when I first registered. I recommend you read these very important threads here.

These is all the OP need as a start if the OP can focus on these links, he will be able to know most things about the forum and all the necessary guide the OP will need to successfully leave well in this forum.

My problem with newbies is that, they will ask questions and get the right answer but some of the newbies will keep repeating the question which the answers has been provided for them in their previous thread.

Nevertheless, I wish the OP will make use of all the information and the guide with advise given to him/her, and the forum life will be easier.

Reading the write ups in this forum will really help you, it may seems topics in the forum are very much for you read and understand immediately but the truth is that you can't know everything at a time. Learning is all about patience, if you take your time you will get it right.

Engaging yourself with good forum discussions will develop you very well, and you also making your own research will also make you learn very fast. Having good interest to learn will really improve you and to understand bitcoin very well.

This is just all you need to get acquainted to this forum. Many newbies make the mistakes of wanting to start earning merits and rankup immediately, that's not a bad idea but such a newbie who desperately seeks to rank up might spend months here making posts which might not be relevant without learning anything in return from the forum. Yea, the activities counts might increase but little or no positive impact from that newbie will be felt in the forum. Read, learn by observation, ask questions and contribute when neccessary. Most of us here were once like you, consistency brought us this far.

There is no big deal there rather than being able to read and understand what other people are saying that relates to the forum and to bitcoin at large, for you to scale up this forum you must be a reader and just a writer, where people faces difficulties is when they all tends to be a writer without them know what to write about makes them face difficulty in the forum otherwise nothing much than that, point out the areas you are good at then focused there and learn maybe with time you can also start learning how include yourself to areas of discussions.

As a newbie, I learned more from reading. if you read enough I believe you would have an idea of how to create a quality discussion in the forum that is engaging and may even possibly earn you merits. It is good to be patient before trying to create topics because if as a newbie you want to be noticed by making topics and you make many irrelevant topics, you have started starting wrongly in the forum and can get ignored.

I know some, out here are also starting this step like me, but all what we need is a guid to continue, it will be of a great deed if you will be available to help the newbies by reading this thread....
The sticky threads are a great place to learn the dos and don'ts of the forum but most beginners usually skip the threads and create topics to ask questions about stuff that have already been answered in the sticky threads. So in my experience, newbies do not need new guides to teach them what to do on the forum because they simply would not read it.
If newbies are in need of guidelines, the forum has already sorted it out for them many times. So all they need to do is a consistent reading, and not create new posts that have become redundant already since this kind of questions have been raised in the forum a lot of times. Just do a lot of reading and use the search engine if possible, because that will certainly lead them answers to their questions.

Newbies are not actually required to start posting and create threads, instead they should focus on reading and DYOR to acquire new information and insights about bitcoin and its crypto space. When they have learned enough and are confident to post and share their new knowledge and experiences, that's the time they can focus  on posting in the forum.

Baby steps!

Well, it might be the trendy for you guys in recent time but hey, when it’s sensed by ranked users, then you get a hard resentment in the things you do until you project yourself differently.
One interesting thing there to see is a newbie hoping to advice another newbie, claiming to have gone over a lot, learned so well but, with very little evidence to prove.

I wouldn’t say I disapprove this kind of out cry for knowledge but, no one would put that in your head or teach to you those specifics. Just ensure your reading the most you can and asking questions based on the context of what your reading, as well as contributing. That would help pave for you a path rather than hoping to be bathed with everywhere else to look.

To guide doesn't not matter we all know that nobody knows all and the right path you stated about is very easy to reach, but after getting inti the right to the right path will you remain and fellow the rules that will be given by some of members here. Because why said all this is that there some of the newbies that they will ask for guidelines and once they guide them they can definitely over rule the guidance, I hope will not be part of those?

Firstly, welcome to the forum. I guess you've be presented with the necessary guidelines, and you must do well to read these guidelines. Secondly, I think the forum is an interesting place to learn. Just as the user above has pointed out, try as much as possible to set your goals here. If you are here to learn, then learning should be your priority, and also asking questions if necessary. Information on the forum comes from different users with different ideas and background. It is your responsibility to gather the ones you can easily process, and also make reference to in the future if need be.

Hello OP, welcome to Bitcointalk. Aside from all of the tips that are given you, don't rush things. Take one step at a time and focus on the knowledge that you want to gain while you're here. Everyone has their own time for things and as you stay here, you'll get there soon. So, what's important now is to check those topics that you are interested to engage and to learn more. Don't be shy to ask everyone about anything you want to ask as long as they're on point and on topic. I hope that you'll have a good time here and by the time that the time passes by, you'll be proud of yourself that the forum helped you out of what you'd become soon.

Personally, rather than asking a guide to continue, I suggest you focus on creating more motivation and goals in the forum. That way, you will gain more patience and interest in learning different scopes and aspects in the forum. Well, as a newbie you need to explore much and read different topics in the forum because that will make you a wide reader and learner as well. Just read and observe and then learn eventually whatever topics that are raised in the forum because obviously, the more you read a lot, the bigger amount of learning you will gain. Learning is continuous and limitless, so you need not to stop reading and learning at all.

Welcome to the forum mate. I guess you are or might be having so many questions about the forum and that's normal as a newbie you are supposed to ask questions. It's a good way to learn about a new place. Just like the user above me have said, the forum is a broad community. We have many countries whom have come together for a common interest, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.  First thing first, you have to get familiar with the boards which you are sure you can relate most with. Then study how other people post, read through their post and make a lot of sense out of it.
Then you can gradually start creating you post and improving on post quality. With good quality post, you earn merits which you will use along side with activities to rank up. The link provided for you by the user above explains more in detail about how to rank up. And lastly don't be carried away by other things you might find on the forum. Focus first n ranking up and learning the rest will follow later.
