There is trouble abrewing
lets not forget that each of bitcoin's biggest price rises that happen in each cycle were preceded by price predictions that were looking "outrageous" at the time. for example if you told someone that bitcoin is going to be worth $20,000 in less than a year back in 2016 they would have called you crazy and your prediction "outrageous".

we are in the same situation right now too. when someone says price is going to be $500,000 in a year from now, it is called "outrageous" as if people haven't learned from the history no matter how many times it is repeated.
(of course we shouldn't confuse idiots making up bullshit like McAfee with actual predictions).

you chose the wrong people to listen to their opinions, many of them making crazy statements in order to gain more media momentum.
OP just wants to get some free traffic to his site, and you know that most people are only interested in big numbers. People like to live in hope, no matter how unrealistic it is, and even more, they love to see when one gathers such speculation in one place. I see OP is also adding Tim Draper on the list, but his speculation is for 2022/23, and he is one of the few whose thinking I take somewhat seriously.

Obviously, many speculators are expecting a big boom in the coming years, which makes some sense considering halving 2020. But could that be the only reason to see Bitcoin at $50k or $ 100 000k? Of course not, I believe that many of them are counting on other things, such as the first BTC ETF approved by SEC.

People do not want someone who gives them logical hopes but rather promises of quick riches, so you notice that most expectations are 20,000, 50,000 or even 100,000.

The market teaches us that the more optimistic the results are different from reality.

hey I won't read it, I'm very sure if you make predictions that are not much different from most people's predictions. Last year I read a lot of predictions about the price of bitcoin, and now I know that all predictions are just bullshit. to be honest i'm more interested about bitcoin price analysis next week  Roll Eyes

Transaction fees would again be the limiting factor for bitcoin price and in my opinion, $20K is the limit till which bitcoin could rise safely. Anything above that would discourage transactions as users would be paying more in fees.
The harder the price goes up, the higher the potential reward is for people, and to capture that potential people are well willing to pay up for the fees. We have seen that in 2017 where people kept outbidding each other to get their transaction included in the next block, pumping the fees to $40-$50 which is quite insane. Speculation is something that shouldn't be underestimated.

New technologies like Lightning network might change that in future but there's no place for them in 2020.
Bitfinex recently started accepting Lightning deposits and withdrawals. For those who don't mind the history of the exchange, they can enjoy instant and super cheap transactions that way. Who knows what other exchanges will support Lightning deposits and withdrawals by that time. We can only grow exponentially from here in terms of adoption.

From the above, I'm sure the $10 k - $15,000 is a reasonable range and easy to get to by next year. It is also going to get over it , that I know but I don't know where it will hinge on afterwards.
I'm not so sure about that if there will be a $10,000 next year or at least $15,000 before the year end in 2020. Bitcoin halving will have a less effect in 2020 because most quoted speculation will happen in 2021. I think it will be a slow and steady bloody market in 2020 unless there is something that would push to rally a new price.

That $ 10,000 will be easy to achieve for bitcoin so there's no need to wait in 2025 to reach $ 10,000.
I am sure at the beginning of the year if the bullrun comes, then Bitcoin will soon reach $ 10,000. I only predict that 2025 is a range of $ 25,000 per bitcoin.
Halving a few months will probably be easy to reach the target level of $ 10000- $ 15000

Many predictions about bitcoin with a fantastic price increase but I'm not so sure about that especially with predictions of $50,000 and above, I just thought if bitcoin had reached the level of $ 15,000 it would probably be easier for longer but not directly soaring high but slowly but surely would go to the level high.
Predictions from anywhere I will not believe unless I see the definite market movements.

I wish there must be some stable price in 2020 around which bitcoin price must revolve. Like we have equity stocks that have some base price and price goes up and down above that base price. I do agree that predictions like $50k and above are not possbile seeing the oposition from different states.
What do you mean a stable price like the stable coin who seldom make a movement in the market? I think what you are wishing is a bitcoin like cryptocurrency that has a stable price yet it do fluctuate but not as strong as bitcoins volatility. Well, to be honest i haven't met a cryptocurrency just like that.

There wouldn't be stable price for BTC, its an open market anyone will put their price order. I still have doubts that we may be able to reach the $20k again even after halving, there are just more manipulations going to happen and until more coins are going to end dead.  Its going to be a long wait for a bitcoin holder to see it again but as long as it won't drop to $1k, its still a good market. I'd be happy to see BTC going to be $10k up to 2025 if $20k is not possible

Almost all those predictions point to one price range, somewhere near $100K, which is attainable but highly unlikely. Those prices were too high, and take into account the current slow progress on Bitcoin adoption, paired with weaker demand, and more informed public (unlike the 2017 hype where everyone just go with the bandwagon), 100K is far too high. I'd say near 20k-30k at best.

for starters people who make a lot of noise are not "influential people", they are just noisy people. and your list is basically a compilation of those who have made a lot of noise over the past year. of course there are some popular names in there such as Elon Musk but i wouldn't categorize him as a "crypto experts, influential person".
and of course the biggest attention whore is also in that list, McAfee. i wonder if he is still trying to scam people with his altcoin advertisement and pumps?

I’m surprised people yet bother to look at these price predictions, despite the fact that they are never correct and are only made to earn free publicity. @pooya87 no one takes him seriously because McAfee openly contradicts himself by first claiming that he’ll expose Satoshi, and now he claims that Satoshi is dead in his calculation for bitcoin prices hitting 1 millions dollars in 2020.

Quote

This is McAfee quote from Forbes article:

“Let’s get real, there are only 21 million bitcoins,” McAfee said to me in a September 23 interview. “Seven million of which have been lost forever, and then, if Satoshi [bitcoin’s anonymous creator] is dead, add a few more million,” he added.

The problem with this so-called "influencer" metric is that really, they only measure their reach and impact based on followers, Tweet impressions etc. And the sad thing is, it works. All that noise actually does influence people. And the fact that more and more people share it, and comment on it, and give it prominence, only serves to propel them even more.

It's actually a tiny industry of influencers, everyone doing a circle jerk of each other and cycling the same audience and feels, to get their share of advertiser dollars.

Musk is an influencer, for sure, anyone who is active on Twitter is. Anyone who's not but always appears in newsjacks (like Buffet thanks to his PR team) also is, really.

Don't know about McAfee these days but if CW can whip up his followers into religious frenzy even with all the allegations and proof against him... don't see why not good old McAfee;)

I have written a long list of outrages price predictions for Bitcoin in 2020. Please read and let us know which one is most likely.

https://www.cryptozink.io/bitcoin-2020-price-predictions-from-influential-people/
All the predictions in the article are hard to come true, it seems that they are too optimistic about the price of bitcoin in 2020. I have not seen any reason why Bitcoin can increase sharply in 2020.
I guess bitcoin will not be able to surpass $ 40k by 2020. The current cryptocurrency market is facing the opposition of many governments around the world, without the support of the government I think bitcoin will meet difficulties in 2020.

Predictions with large prices are difficult to prove from several sources stating bitcoin will soar to the highest level even they say $ 100,000 I'm not so sure what is said from some of these sources, obviously we better analyze ourselves in the near future because it will look bitcoin direction movement if short term. Do your best thinking while on the exchange.

I have checked the names of the people who made this weird claims and most of them are not even that important anymore. Bitcoin managed to create one thing that doesn't exist in any other coin, true decentralization. You think ethereum is decentralized? Why does vitalik have so much power on what ethereums direction will be? You think xrp is decentralized? You are kidding yourself.

ALL of the altcoins in the world are centralized either by coding or if not then according to communities that support a leader of that coin. Not bitcoin, right now satoshi nakomoto could come out and prove he is in fact satoshi nakomoto and he will not be listened too much. He could come out and say bitcoin will be 50k and nobody would buy just because he said so. That is why none of these people making outrages predictions matter anymore.

I want to see John McAfee eat his penis on national TV as he said on his Twitter, because I can not guarantee his prediction is correct within the next year from the current price is difficult to reach his predictions, I do not intend to drop his predictions, it's just in my opinion he too much for a 1 million dollar prediction at the end of 2020, I still focus on my prediction a year after halving 2021 is the peak but I don't guarantee the right price, because I know big whales can change it at any time, so stop trusting people who do speculation at the right price, because nothing is ever right

Hahaha this is crazy but its look like John Mcafee prediction is wrong but like others said everything can be change just wait for the bitcoin movement until the exact date of Mcafee prediction.
Most prediction that I see in the last few days Bitcoin will turn to uptrend because of 2020 halving but the price goes down until now.
it will be a joke in 2020, he seems to be making a fool of himself for his crazy prediction, I think before he made that prediction, he already got leaked intelligence data about bitcoin in the future, but in fact I think again, he might not get important data about bitcoin in the future, so I think he only made silly predictions and made everyone hopeful by the end of 2020, even though I also support him, but for 1 million dollars in a year at the current price of $ 7,000 is a matter of course impossible, let's see how he will correct his failed predictions after many famous people failed to make correct price predictions

Elon Musk, an "influential Person" The guy literally just rode his "popularity" so that a lot of people would listen to him, even if most of the things he talked about are kinda of eh. Still, those are predictions so I guess its fine if his name is placed there. They're all pretty much noisy people anyways. Sharing predictions and all of that to the world, which seems useless in my opinion. Just hold it in, or share it in a forum, no need to make a big deal out of it.

The prices that they claim in their predictions are too good to be true, yes bitcoin is a strong coin and anything is possible but predicting that bitcoin reach $50,000k and above next is not attainable because it’s only days before 2020 and bitcoin is struggling to reach $10k - $15k now so $50k is still a very long way to go. I just wish that bitcoin will atleast reach $20k - $30k probably in the middle or late 2020 who knows, lets just wait and see. Also, just a reminder, be careful in managing your coins and don’t get easily be intimidated with these insane predictions because some of them are just joining the hype of predicting but doesn’t really have any basis on their predictions.
