It was really nice to see user on this forum putting in his effort and time to test out dice sites provably fair system, can you check out duckdice.io provably fair system and add a review in your list if you are free? The site offers a huge range of altcoins and bitcoin for players to wager with, thank you very much.
Yes, nice list indeed, but he missed a lots provably fair gambling sites such as bitvest, crypto-games, fortune jack(few games), stake, bitsler and so on.
Duckdice? I would not play there if I were you, look at their trust rating and their shady behavior.

I think much better to take this thread to gambling site since all listed here are gambling site..

I'm thinking of this too but there is something that fights to my mind that this should be listed here in service discussion just like the list of signature campaigns. Well, wherever it is this list is good for all of the gamblers that are looking for the gambling sites that are provably fair. And they will not be keep on asking "what are the sites that are provably fair" it's getting us tired to answer those the same questions.

your idea with this thread is fully okay, but you need to make him more clearly.
First, are you think only about gambling sites if yes, you better move them on gambling section. It would be fine if you write why you think that is some website are probably fair. Is it just your opinion or you can to prove with a real event. Now I can to say that is one site from your list scam but it's only because I am losing money on gambling and I want to blame somebody else for my nonsense.

It is not my opinion that the sites I list are fair, it is my evaluation of their system, of which all of the ones that are listed as "Yes" are nearly identical and generally considered the base-case for provably fair systems. Anybody else could review their process and come to the same conclusion.

The whole point of a site being provably fair is that they are provably not scams. (As far as betting goes. A site could still steal user balances).

Nice little compilation you have here. Would help out a lot of new bitcoin gamblers here not to lose their money.

I would actually get all the sites who only offer provably fair "with effort" into the false category. An example that comes to mind would be 999dice who have a provably fair mechanism but will only show you the seeds when you request it to be shown and you have to do this for every bet.

As for a suggestion, bitsler has a completely straightforward provably fair system. Should add it in OP.

Please know that this is just a start to what I want. I would like to add more sites, and add more info about the sites and just generally help players make more informed decisions. If you have a site you'd like to see added, please post it in the comments.

Purpose
The purpose of this thread is to look in-depth at the provable fairness systems of as many sites as possible and categorize them based on their strength and any potential flaws. This should enable players to make better decisions as to where to play, and what to watch out for. This thread only attempts to categorize sites that claim to be provably fair, sites that do not claim to be provably fair are outside the scope of this thread.

List
Site | Thread | Provably Fair| Nonce| Client Seed| Currencies
BitDice| Thread| With effort/False*| No| 3-30 [a-z,A-Z,0-9]| BTC, LTC, ETH, DOGE
Just-Dice| Thread| Yes| Yes| 1-24 [a-z,A-Z,0-9]| CLAM
Primedice| Thread| Yes| Yes| 1-32 [a-z,A-Z,0-9,special]| BTC
SafeDice| Thread| Yes| Yes| 1-15 [a-z,A-Z,0-9]| BTC, XMR, BCH
YOLOdice| Thread| Yes| Yes| 6-128 [a-z,A-Z,0-9,-_ ]| BTC

*: BitDice has a combination of first-party provably fair games and third-party non provably fair games.

Key
Yes| I have personally reviewed this system and found it satisfactory
With effort| The system is provably fair, but requires the user to jump through more hoops than usual.
False| This site claims to be provably fair but either is not or has a large hole in their system

Explanation
Yes: Usually consists of the following: The site generates a server seed and presents the hash of the server seed to the user before betting. Additionally, the user supplies the site with a client seed before betting. This is necessary to ensure that the numbers are generated randomly. A nonce is also generally used so that the user is not required to change their client seed between every bet.

With effort: Usually consists of the above, but either there is no nonce, requiring the user to change their client seed between every bet to remain fair, or there is some other "block" making it more difficult to verify bets.

False: The site claims to be fair, but is not. Could be many things, including but not limited to:
  • No client seed is used, so the site can arbitrarily choose the outcome
  • Outcomes are not generated deterministically, could claim to be using random numbers from an outside source (Random.org). This is not provably fair, as these claims cannot be proved.

Notes
If you want your site added to this list, please reply below with the URL and a link to the thread in the gambling section of your site. Sites are added when I have time to review the system.
